Returning back to Fitness World after a few years away including during the pandemic, it was time to get to work on my fitness goals and the team at the gym are all there to support and welcome me. Having Darya as my personal trainer has been a delight to build not just my strength for a better golf game and so much more but to feel better and stronger overall. Darya's expertise is amazing and she delivers with her intricate knowledge of the physical body and its inner workings. After several months of a weekly program of visits with Darya, my confidence is up and my sore back has virtually completely subsided. Thanks to the Fitness World team and Darya for your friendliness and support of my personal health goals.
Been here for almost 3 months and I have to say the experience there is great. Arman is a very good trainer and helps me set my goals on my fitness journey. I would like to give the gym a 5 star review, but there is an issue. It can be a very busy gym I wish there are more machines so that I can get my program done quickly. Other than that it's a fine gym and I would recommend to anyone who wants to start their fitness journey here.
I have been member of this facility for a long time since it was Steve Nash. The HUGE difference between these two is their management and equipment. There isn't any sign of rubber bands they claim because of covid or any accessories. Even for a wood bar, you have to search every where since there is only one in the house, to find it. Some of the Matts are torn that I personally take one of them to front desk and ask for a replacement. Today after 7: 30 am , was the worse, since everyone left their equipment that is on the members in the training room that it almost occupied the room. I Have attached the photo as reference. It's really sad that such a great facility with a priceless location and view in our neighborhood have these issues that can be easily fixed with little more care.

The Management here are pretty much Robots, all they see is $$$$ pressuring to upgrade plans, pressuring not to cancel your membership. I told the manager im moving away so i have to cancel. He said "Why are you moving away?" like why does it matter? all they care about is making money... which is understandable to an extent. These guys just push it to the limit. even if you live in another country they will still charge you. it takes 2+ months for them to cancel??!! Trust me there are far better gyms in North Van and a lot cheaper. Have a great day :
Edit: I have received another notification about membership and signing up. Genuinely why The gym is really pretty but the vibe I got was just people pressuring memberships. If you’re looking to do the 3 day trial I deeply recommend avoiding it not worth all the constant phone calls and texts you’ll get even after saying you don’t want to to choose this gym after your trial. To the owner reply: I didn’t enjoy it because of your teams lack of customer respect and I think that’s clearly backed up from all the reviews below me.
This review is for personal trainer - Leila at the Longsdale location. I have been working with Leila on building muscle strength and stability for about 6months in group classes.Leila is very knowledgeable about all body muscle groups and how to work on each specific muscle. She is definitely one of the Best , also she is so kind and respectful. I am so thankful to have her as my trainer in group classes. Very professional ~ highly recommended!
UPDATE after Owner's reply: Thanks for your reply. And yes, I have a lot of time to get my membership canceled without any payments to you. I recommend to avoid that GYM. I signed annual membership with bi-weekly payments. But after 1 year passed - nobody called me, no emails, nothing. But they automatically extended my membership and continuing to charge me. Once I emailed them - they told me - pay to us $120 and then we will cancel your membership, or we will continue to charge. What??!!
After years of saying “I need to get to the gym” and then NOT doing that, I gave this place a try on the recommendation of a friend. A year ago. I can’t say enough about it. The welcome from Day 1 that you get, the instruction at each session, the support “You can lift more than that”, the humour, and more than anything the workouts. You WILL work and you WILL be supported and you WILL have a good time getting in the shape you want…..because you won’t have a choice once you step in the room. Isn’t that why we go? All within 45-minutes at a time. Each of the F45 Lonsdale trainers are easy to talk to and laugh with. Yes, they are characters. And you will be supported to do your best. My 2-week trial last year resulted in making the F45 Lonsdale crew a part of my weekly schedule. AND I’m PICKY. You’ll go in, get ready to go, have a GREAT sweaty workout with fabulous trainers around you and be on with your day/night feeling fine but very sweaty within an hour. Inspiring.
This gym is stupidly busy. If you go at any point in the evening, pretty well every machine is taken. You can’t get a bench or anything. It’s a total zoo and completely unpleasant. Never seen anything like it. The staff is in denial and keeps trying to get more people to sign up, and rudely says that everything’s fine if you complain. Edit: the response saying that it’s just busy 5-7 is untrue. My husband or I have been there pretty much every hour of the day and it’s always too busy, right until they close at 10. I’ve been to many gyms in my life, for over 10 years, and have never seen any gym even half this busy. Unfortunately it led me to barely work out this year and got out of shape, since it was such a thoroughly unpleasant experience to go to this gym. Even my husband, who loves going to the gym, hated going to FitnessWorld and stopped going to the gym. We’ve now cancelled our memberships after a year.
