The Source

I recently had a Pacific Energy woodstove installed in my basement. The owners are exceptionally professional, and explained the entire process in detail. Their workmanship was fantastic, clean and efficient. I was stunned at how competitive their pricing is and that they adhered to the installation schedule they promised. I highly recommend The Heat Source!

We've been using the Heat Source for a couple of years now. Our first job for them was when we sold our previous house. We found the chimney needed a liner and we wanted to get WETT certificates done on the chimney and wood stove to stream line the sale. They got the work done quickly for us and it made that part of selling the house a breeze. We had then install an insert and a new insert setup in our new place. I wanted to do the build of the surround so they set things up and gave me suggestions on doing the work. They followed up after wards when I had some issues getting the some of the pieces in place and everything looks great! Currently working on a fire pit for our backyard and Zac has followed up nicely with answers to our questions for the build. We highly recommend them, very happy with the setups we've got. Attached are pictures of what we built in our living room replace and basement new.

My wife and I inquired about a woodstove for our home in June of 2022 and the staffSherry, Monique and Donwere more than helpful in making sure we chose the correct stove for our needs. Donowner and founder of the Heat Sourcewas extremely professional when he came to our home. The removal of the old propane stove and associated equipment was done quickly and efficiently. The entire visit was very informative and all questions I had were answered and explained. The exterior wallwhere the propane stove exhaust waswas sealed to the extent that it is difficult to see where it was. Don, and the Heat Source, went above and beyond what was expected and he custom made a piece of matching siding, the result of which is pleasing to the eye. Furthermore, in December of 2022, after we had had several days of flawless use of the woodstove, Don made a housecallamidst a busy scheduleto educate us on further safe use of the stove in warmer temperatureshovering around zero. We’ve gone into the Heat Source several times for various inquiries since purchasing the stove and the staff have been extremely helpful. I recently had an in home consultation for a new woodstove installation and found that Zac was very friendly, knowledgeable and communicated well. The quote was provided quickly and responses to my follow up questions have been quick and concise and provided alternate options to help work within my budget. I was also happy to see a friendly smiling face at the door rather than one covered with a mask. I am always happy to work with a company the believes in personal freedoms and liberties of their employees and customers. I will update my review if/when we proceed with the purchase/installation.

Very upset. Had two people come for schedule appointment with No masks, was told " We don't wear masks." That is a personal choice, and this company has an obligation to protect its customers and let them know prior so there is no confrontation. Very upsetting that this happened. I would have gone with a company that respects all choices.

I am in the market for a green egg or Komato. Want to support local business. Unfortunately I work Monday to Friday and can't hit the open 9 to to 5 Monday to Friday hours. Even if you considered opening at until noon on Saturdays that would be helpful.

I booked a chimney cleaning, and when he arrived I asked if he could wear a mask in the house. I was told "his freedom is more important than my fear of a virus". He said he could continue without a mask or leave. I asked him to leave and he left without another word. Had I been told ahead of time that he would not wear a mask in the house, I would have booked with another company from the beginning.

Don’t waste your time. I booked the owner, Don, for a WETT inspection on a house we are purchasing and when he arrived we told him that the current owners request people entering the home wear a mask and gloves. He stated that this was a private residence and so he did not have to wear them, however he said he did have a mask in his truck. We again stated that this was the request of the current home owners. He made a rude remark, turned around and got in his truck and drove away, without further comment to us. I called the office right away to complain three different parties had to make arrangements in order to accommodate the inspection and while the receptionist was apologetic and understanding, she forwarded my call to someone named Zach who laughed off my complaint.

We had Heat Source do some maintenance to our existing wood stove chimney, Very good service! These guys were fast and efficient with quality work and excellent knowledge. Happy customer! We’ll be using Kemptville Heat Source on our future projects!
