I took the two week intensive course on makeup fundamentals.  The instructor Rob and Christine are truly professional makeup artists and still practice in the industry.  As students, you gain their insightful tips and tricks.  Rob's foundation blending alone is an art onto itself!  The best part of the school is the small size of classroom.  We had only 3 students and was able to get almost 1:1 student instructor ratio for continuous feedback on our demo's.  You will not get this level of attention at larger schools.  While 8 days won't make you a professional MUA, what this school gives you is the confidence to practice on your own where the real learning begins.  Be prepared to bring your own models to practice.  They won't be disappointed!  Thanks Rob and Christine for a fabulous two weeks!  JG.

I had such an amazing experience at the School of Professional Make-up!! Both Rob and Christine were amazing teachers!! I learned so much from them. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a make-up school! We had a big class of14-16 students, and were taught by two teachers!! They are both amazing teachers, and make-up artists with so much knowledge and experience and were so generous in offering all their knowledge, tips and tricks to us!! It really was nothing less then a privilege learning from them!!

I came to Robert school with no knowledge of make up what so ever. Robert was patient, professional and fun. I couldn’t ask for a better make up teacher. As I follow my path to making it to the “Professional Make Up Artistry” , Robert played a big role into slowly molding me into becoming a “professional make up artist”. This is just the beginning. I went into this course a little nervous. This is something I’ve wanted to do for so many years. As soon as you walk in the classroom Rob makes you feel welcome and excited to learn. I love the size of the class - very small so it makes for great one on one learning. Rob is an incredible teacher and I am loving every minute of it! Highly recommend taking a course

I chose this school for a few reasons 1 A successful makeup artist friend of mine went here and highly recommended it. 2 It's one of the cheaper makeup institutions. 3 The instructors are extremely seasoned and talented.  I love how honest Rob founder and instructor is -he will not scam you out of anything like many schools do, or try to sell you things you don't need. If anything he encourages you do build everything slowly and to never put all your money in one basket at once! He really teaches you about building your own business as well. He is so incredibly talented, I cannot vouch for him enough. There''s a reason why he's been successfully doing this for decades and still remains relevant. Not to mention he's such a kind hearted man  a bit tough and critical when it comes to artistry but such a nice man overall  I am very happy with what I have learned in 2 of his courses. And bonus: i still get emails about volunteering opportunities.

I was in Robs first class the first year he opened in the 90s. He cares about every single student.. And his experience is amazing.. Even back then before airbrushing... I went on to enjoy a career and still work in cosmetics to this day.  And guess what.. 20 years later he is still supportive! I highly recommend this school. Thanks Rob for everything.

I contacted the school to request a makeup Artist for a short film named “In Her Eyes”. Within 24 hours, we were promptly connected with Sophia Martins. Let me say that Sophia is an absolutely treasure to have on set.  She is exceptionally detailed with her makeup skills, and created superb on-camera looks. She should be hired for any professional TV/Film shoot. She is a pleasure to work with, is extremely professional and loves what she does.

When i first decided to take makeup artist course i was not too sure that i could do it then i came into talk to rob he make me feel comfortable as i progressed into the course i got more and more confident in me now i know i can do it and am loving it. Thanks to robert closs.

Just finished two weeks of basic course and loved it. Thank you so much Rob and Christine for sharing your knowledge in fun but very productive way. Money well invested. Look  forward to take next course in November.

Beyond happy with my course, fundamentales of makeup Rob and Christine are excelent teachers, both very different but with amazing techniques I loved Rob's way of making each one of us feel special, And encouraging us to keep getting better, Would defenetly recomend this School Great teachers, great price, what else can you ask for!!!
