Stopped in to the Runt Club today for a late lunch / early dinner. This place has been around for decades, and it really hasn't changed much at all. The menu is pretty much the same as it was 10 years ago, and while there's something to be said for a classic menu... it's time for a change. The food was... ok.. but lacked the passion of a new restaurant. Kind of like they were just going through the motions. The same tomato sauce was used in 3 dishes, 2 apps and an entrée. The veggies in both of the entrées were stone cold in parts and hot in others, like they'd been heated in the microwave. The chicken parm had very little tomato sauce on it. And the fettuccine had zero flavor.. literally zero.. had to add salt and parm to give it any flavor. Still around and still busy.. but for 100 bucks you can get much better food pretty much anywhere else in London.
We went last night as part of the Londonlicious event. The three of us had never been there before so it was great to have the new experience. The menu was amazing and so many choice. I had the Browned Brussel Sprouts, Asiago Stuffed Chicken and the Tiramsu. Everything was absolutely amazing. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. All three of us loved everything that we ordered. My Dad said that the ceasar salad was the best that he had ever had. Shout out to our server John. He was so attentive and pleasant. We never felt rushed to eat and leave.
A fun little place with great ambience and fantastic service. A big shout out to Katharine yes, it is with an 'a' and Al. Every time I see them they are super friendly and very attentive. Great location, fair prices and phenomenal food keep me coming back for more. Pro Tip: Get there early, the place fills up very quickly.
Horrible service! Sat there for 15 mins before the waiter came over. Then they forgot about our drinks. When I was done my drink the waiter never came back. He was busy socializing at the bar and sipping his coffee. Won’t be back. Very disappointed
Chicken and three cheese penne is my new favorite dish from the restaurant Great service everytime Relaxing place for after church lunches with friends :
Decent pub fare, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and free popcorn. It's not award worthy, but it's comfortable and reliable. Could use a few more vegetarian options on the menu. I had the quesadilla with a side of pasta and was satisfied.
Service was fantastic! Our server, Kate was great! Hadn’t been here in years and I was blown away by how much things have stayed the same! Same cozy atmosphere, same good vibes and same free popcorn!! Thank you for a great birthday supper! Y’all made turning thirty less miserable! <3
The Runt Club is a sure bet when looking for a great spot for lunch. Always great food, great service and great ambiance.
This is a great little bar tucked just off Richmond St. on Albert St. It the bar more casual version of the restraunt Fellini Koolini's so Italian North Amercian food. Runt Club serves full menu from the restraunt as well as daily features. Although small and quaint that's part of what makes great. Friendly staff make it a great prospect for a local good thought out wine list interesting beers and your staples for example Labatt 50 win every time. In spring and summer Runt Clubs has one of the Londons best patios well shaded and spacious, in winter it's cozzie and you can watch the spots on TV. This is mu favorite place to go for a drink when I visit London.
I’ll start off by stating that the food here is excellent. We had various pasta dishes, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Good portions. Everything was hot and fresh. I did email the week before we went, because we were a party of six SO, kids and my parents and I inquired about making a reservation because of the size of our party and I got a response indicating that it wasn’t necessary, but it probably would’ve been a good idea because when we arrived, there was only one waitress and she seemed a little perturbed at first when I said that I didn’t make a reservation. I felt bad for overwhelming her, but the service was good. I would definitely go again as there was plenty to try on the menu.
