Great staff!!! All the employees at The Ridge Hotel are extremely welcoming, and provided the utmost attention to our needs. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay and plan on returning.

After reading Jacob’s review, it seems like my review won’t stand alone. Very parallel situations that confirm the way I feel. We chose to stay at the Ridge hotel for our anniversary because they were advertised as an “upscale modern Lake Geneva hotel”. Our first night was fine. The hotel was visually nice. The pool, spa, and fitness center were a little less than advertised but not bad. Our second night, Friday, was where things began to take a downward turn. More guests checked in, which is to be expected. However the walls were so thin we could hear every conversation that took place. We did our best to ignore the noise but being woken up at 6am on a Saturday when you are on vacation is not ideal. Then came Saturday night. We were out most of the day, but we came back after lunch to rest for a bit. Around 445 we heard loud music. It was so loud that we thought there was a wedding or event going on. When I left to get ice, I realized this was coming from a room 5 doors down. I went back to the room and called the front desk to let them know. I can handle conversations and loud music or tv, but I do not need to feel like I am in a dance club at 5 pm, especially when it is coming from several rooms down the hall. Security did come and knock on the door (from the sound of it, it took several times to get someone to answer). The noise stopped for about 25 minutes and then started up again. We decided to leave early for our dinner reservations just so that we could escape the situation. Upon our return at around 930, things seemed quiet again and we decided to stay in and enjoy our last night for our 10 year anniversary trip. Things went well, and we fell asleep at around 11:00. Then at about 12:45 I heard strange noises from above us. There was yelling and crying. Loud thuds sounding like someone was throwing furniture or items around the room. Doors slamming. This sounded honestly like a major domestic dispute. The disturbance was so bad that my husband was ready to pack up and leave at that moment. Had we not been in an unfamiliar area with dark back roads leading us home, we would have. I thought about calling the police (and I probably should have), but I called the front desk instead. I started to explain that there was a concerning noise from above me, and without even asking where I was, the rushed response was “we will check it out”. I proceeded to give my room number despite her not having asked and explain again that I was concerned for the safety of individuals in this room, and I was basically rushed off the phone. I assumed that I was treated this way because multiple people were calling and the situation was being dealt with. Again, in hindsight, I wish I had called the local police. It was that bad. The disturbance went on despite my call for another hour or so after. Because of this, we were awake until about 4:00 am. We finally went back to sleep, only to be woken again at 6:00 by our neighbors who were loud and slamming doors just as they had been the day before. We packed up and got ready to go immediately, ending our trip on a sour note. At checkout, I was asked how my stay was. I mentioned that it was “ok”. When asked why, I stated “I don’t know what was going on last night, but it was so violent, I almost called the police”. The response was “oh-that’s strange”. No apology or attempt to even investigate what I was referring to. Were this one isolated incident, I would not even waste the time writing the review, but this hotel claims to strive for the “upscale” description, however it seems that the reputation is that it is a party hotel for drunken groups of people. This was our first time to Lake Geneva-and while it was the off season we were thinking of coming back for a summer stay. One thing is for sure, will not be staying at this hotel-and we will advise all friends and family to stay somewhere else as well.

Horrible experience... came here for 5th Anniversary... spa experience was sad felt rushed my wife pedicured nail paint came off hours later the facials made us break out the message was anything but relaxing. The hotel was full of load drunk teens slamming each other around well past 10. Seriously would never recommend this to anyone. Waste of money, time anared my life. Then on top of everything we contact the front desk and the say look we contacted are security and hang up on us 3 different times! We ask for a manager and they say sorry there is no manager and we did all we can. And hang up again. So middle of the night we are debating driving home on our Anniversary! Really nice experience thanks The Ridge! I’ll be sure to tell everyone about my experience!

The renovation at The Ridge is excellent! We love the new coffee bar and sandwich shop. The pool is also a big attraction for us. Everyone there is really nice. Beautiful places to watch television and take pictures. Can't wait to go back!
