Twice we just turned up for lunch and the service and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend to all my friends to eat here and so far no one has been disappointed. The atmosphere, the food, the ambience is all on point. I look forward to dining here again real soon
First, I can’t fault the food, it was great and kudos to the chef. However I would advise against going during busy periods because the wait is a long one. At the time of our visit, there weren’t enough serving staff; we arrived when there was one other table occupied and one person waiting on tables. We still had a long wait, first to order, and until our order was served, by which time they were juggling online orders and there were more customers and yes, some customers did complain about the wait. I would suggest if there’s a problem with staffing, have a booking only system, that way you can serve a number you can accommodate.
No brow stew so had to get curry chicken meal. Was ok but the portion of coleslaw could feed my 11month old baby. Tiny. When asked for more told because its free that's all you get. I'm sorry but for a meal I expect a decent size portion of coleslaw rather than telling me to buy some!
I was so excited about this place because I have heard good things but my experience was a Total nightmare. We made reservations in advance for a large group and they were not prepared at all. We actually had to write down our own orders on a piece of paper. Once we did order.. an hour and a half goes by and they tell us that they ran out of fish. Our celebration was ruin because half of my family never even got their food after waiting for 3 hours. We will never be coming back here again. Vegetarian options: Had a few vegan/vegetarian options
The food and drink were great. Recommed the cod fritters & curry goat washed down with dutty gyal cocktail. The staff were lovely but we were a large party in a busy restaurant which seemed to cause confusion & long delays.
What a fantastic place. Food is so authentic, I'm gonna say it, it's nearly as good as my mum's!!! Seriously, you won't be disappointed. Staff are so lovely, very attentive. I'm not sure if I should post this, because the next time I wanna go back, it will be jammed, and I won't get a seat!! Never mind, credit where credit is due.
It was a very long wait for food to be honest, and we had quite a few issues with things not being available which was confusing and disappointing. Very limited vegan options also But I really enjoyed the food I ate it was perfect Vegetarian options: In terms of meals, there are very few, so you may need to mix and match sides
It was delicious meal! just tiny coleslaw....nice rum punch and good service. Thanks!
Amazing experience, the food was so good. A rare gem in Carribean cuisine. The restaurant interior is colourful and they played a wonderful selection of reggae music. The meals are authentically cooked to a phenomenal standard and the staff are good vibes.Food: 5/5
I went for my birthday with a group of 11 people. We waited 30 minutes before anyone came to take our orders. There was only three people working; a chef, a waitress, and bartender who also was a waitress. The starters came quickly but not all the drinks came out. Only one fruit punch and one rum punch came to the table. They were many delivery services who came to pick up orders and they seem to have more priority of the customers dining in. The waitress told us that the fruit punch is finished and they are making another batch. That took about an hour. The jerk wings and cod fritters tasted great but the pepper shrimps needed more spice and flavour. There was another large group celebrating their birthday also. And about 1.5 hours later another large group arrived and the table was not ready. The waitress ended up taking one of our tables to give to the new group and moved us further down. As you can imagine moving after sitting comfortably in our seats was unsettling. By then we still did not get our main food. And was only told it’s coming, when we asked. Then nearly 2 hours later four of our dishes came with the sides missing. We expected the rest of the table to be served also but the waitress and chef gave food to all the tables in the restaurant two at a time. So each table had some people eating and some waiting. This was very disappointing as when a group comes to eat they expect to all eat together, but by the time the first people that were served finished eating the others at the table were still waiting or just getting their food. When the food was served we did not get any cutlery and had to ask. The waitresses only brought enough for those who had been served their food at the time. So each time a meal was served we had to ask for cutlery like they expected us to eat with our hands. And the young waitress was so disrespectful, she literally dropped the cutlery in the middle of the table like she was serving dogs and walked away . That type of attitude unacceptable. If she doesn’t like her job, she should find somewhere else to work. Because I do not thing customers asking for cutlery gives you a reason to have attitude. The female toilet, was freezing, no paper towels to dry your hand and was dirty. Anyway, more about the food, the curry shrimp and jerk chicken was good. The ribs were hard as a rock. They were overcooked that it was impossible to eat. The brown stew chicken was actually oven baked chicken. The curry chickpeas needed more seasoning. All in all, some of us enjoyed our meals and others did not enjoy it or even eat it. Tips: Train your staff Accept bookings that you can cater for in good time Ensure the tables are set with enough seats and cutlery prior to the customers entering Hire more staff including chef, waitress and bartender Offer discounts if an order is messed up Check on the customers if they are enjoying the service Serve one table at a time Vegetarian options: The menu said vegetarian for food that had some type of animal meat inside. For example the cod fritters and chicken soup.
