First time visitor at Jaclyn's. Ate here before going to a show at History. Ordered the Bbq chicken as it had great reviews online and can say that I'm now one of the many who also recommends this dish! Portions were generous and it came with extra sauce on the side which I was happy about. Plantains were delicious too! Friendly staff and good food, would love to try the shrimp or oxtail next :-
It was my first time trying Jaclyn's and it won't be my last. Personally, I really loved the fantastic oxtail with chunky meats on it. Jerk chicken was great of course, it was well marinated and also goes so well with the rice. If you love caribbean food, you can tell how good the resto is by checking their coleslaw I believe. Jaclyn's has the most delicious coleslaw in the town. Make sure you get extra.
I went to Jaclyn's a few weeks ago before going to a show at History, and the chicken I got was just unforgettable. I got the BBQ flavour chicken, and damn that was delicious. The well-cooked chicken juice & the sweet BBQ sauce locked in melted in my mouth, along with the rice & beans. Man, that was such a treat. I do love jerk chicken, but I was feeling something sweeter than spicy. I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Jaclyn & trying everything else on the menu. Oh also - amazing folks working at the Jaclyn's. Full of love, and you can really taste it from the food
Super friendly staff, beautiful clean store. The most important of course is how good the food was. Not my favourite rice, but the roti and jerk chicken were amazing. Would recommend 100% if your in the mood for Caribbean food. Best around the beach/Leslieville area!
I had Jaclyn's today for the first time and WOW was I blown away. The cutomer service was great! The curry goat was the best i have ever had, tender and flavoured perfectly. The jerk chicken sandwhich was just spicy enough and it was served on a soft bun, highly recommended the jerk sandwhich. I also got doubles and curry chicken, the curry chicken delicious - saucy, flavoured and cooked to a tender. I will be coming back! this is my new favorite restaurant! Good job Jaclyn.
Craving jerk pork. Regular spot I go too chnaged owners food is not the same. Back in the a day when The Real Jerk was at Broadview/Queen food was awesome. Newer location at Carlaw, food is unpredictable with take out. Quality of food is gone down. Never know what you will open your container and see. Dry food. Google Caribbean food in the area I was in tonight. Queen and Coxwell. Came across this establishment. Let me tell you, food was fresh and lots of flavour. Ordered jerk chicken right amount of spices4, curry chicken roti filled with potatoe and channa and coleslaw creamy Nothing disappointing. Employees are friendly. Definitely will be back and recommend. Thank you!!!
The best Jamaican Pattie’s in the beaches area and fresh . The customer service is beyond exceptional , the staff are extremely friendly . The menu is minimalistic which is amazing . Food was absolutely delicious! Wonderfully fresh, quality ingredients. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, could tell the staff took pride in their product. We ordered a Veggie Roti, BBQ Chicken with slaw and rice with beans, portions were very generous! Both were bursting with flavour! Highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!
Special delivery!!! Amazing food and service from Jaclyn's! I used to live on Rhodes Ave and I'm so sad this place wasn't here when I was there! Haha Clearly great portion sizes, as well!
My friends and I have been smelling this delight on Queen Street for weeks, and finally found time to stop inside. This place is AMAZING. We were served by the best, friendly folks. Patrons inside were recommending things they enjoy regularly. Everything was made to order, fresh and fantastically delicious! We are already making a list of things we need to try next time. You will love it!
