What I had always assumed to be a worn-down diner turned out to be one of my new favourite places to go out to eat. They have an extensive menu, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Prices are super reasonable and the staff are so lovely. We will definitely be back!
My favourite restaurant!nnMy partner and I have been to the Queens Bistro many times now and we always leave so happy.nnThe staff are very friendly and it’s always nice to see their smiles! The owner especially is amazing, super friendly, always checks on every table to make sure the food and service is good! He is always wonderful to talk to!nnAlso the food here is genuinely amazing, you can tell everything is made with quality ingredients and you can also tell the chef genuinely cares about the food. You don’t see this kind of effort put into food anymore these days like they do at the Queens Bistro.nnMy partner and I HIGHLY recommend the Feta Bruschetta, blew our minds and our tastebuds out of the water!
Ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner for my birthday dinner tonight and the only thing that was decent was the salad, the chicken was dry and the rice was WAY over done and sticky and the potatoes were just boiled in chicken stock and had no flavor , absolutely disappointed that i chose this for my birthday dinner tonight as i didnt even get to finish the whole thing cause it just didnt taste good, also only got 1 tzatziki for 5 skewers of chicken!!!!!
It was busy and I think they were short staffed but it was extremely disorganized. Our drinks were forgotten, it took forever to order, people that came in after us were served before us. We waited more than half an hour for bacon, eggs, toast and hash browns. The prices were good, but the menu is far too extensive for the size of the place. Only one bathroom. The place is always busy when you drive by and that is because it takes so long to get out of there.
We ducked in here just before a storm hit.. tried to tough it out on the patio, but when the storm alert arrived it was time to go inside. The service was friendly and attentive, the onion rings were excellent. Don't know if they were hand dipped, but some of the best we've had nonetheless. The guiness was great from the can - the other choices for beer were the standard fare. Overall, though we had just dropped in for a snack and a beer after a long bike ride on the victoria rail trail, we promised to come back again when we are hungry. Well pleased.
