The four course meal was one of the best experiences I've ever had, and some of the best food I've ever had! Thank you for making the wedding I was attending so special for the bride and groom and family. The beef tenderloin was exponentially better than the veal but both were superb!! & As my boyfriend said: The salmon sashimi was so good it was silly.
We went for breakfast. Beautiful dining room with soft music created a soothing and calm ambiance. Not chaotic like other hotel buffet breakfasts we have experienced. I ordered their blueberry buttermilk pancakes and they were very fluffy. We also tried their buffet breakfast which features only 1 hot item and we were worried it would leave us disappointed. We were wrong. There were 2 hot items. The asparagus eggs Benedict were large and perfectly cooked. The asparagus was still crunchy. And they don't skimp on the hollandaise sauce. 2nd hot item was breakfast potatoes. Their baked goods were also very fresh. Nothing on the a la carte menu was offered on the buffet which is nice to see. Excellent breakfast. Hayley was a delight to have as our server. We will return.
They have a multi-course, prix fixe menu. The food was very good but, at CAD$120+, it wasn't the best meal I've had in this price range. The main entrée had a massive potato pancake, which was very out of character for the norm with this type of meal it was very "normal" with a slightly odd taste and was greatly oversized--normally, with restaurants of this genre, I would expect a smaller portion but upscale flavoring and presentation. This was also one of the most pretentious restaurants I've been to in quite some time. While the service was certainly quite good, it just seemed a bit "stuffy" particularly for s ski resort town. However, if you're into a "full suit for dinner" type of place, this will likely suit you very well.
Simply a treat for all your senses. Since the hotel is run by a Swiss family, they also have a cheese fondue part, which is absolutely authentic! If you dine in the regular restaurant, the booking system is designed to limit the amount of servings that have to happen at any one time. This gives each guest a special feeling of attentiveness from the staff. Besides that the quality and preparation of the food is outstanding, no matter what your choice will be.
Good spot for lunch. We ate there at about 1pm on a Saturday and it was empty. The service is fast and friendly and they have a good selection of food. I give the eggs Benedict a 4 star.
The waiter was very friendly and attentive, but there were one or two flies buzzing around our table, which was very annoying. We told them about it but they said they couldn’t do much. It makes me a bit concerned about the food hygiene in the restaurant. The food was delicate but tastes average. I would expect more for this price >$150/person. The wines and mojitos were really good though.
Delicious food ... staff were very very nice and the chef was incredible! Highly recommend for a fancy night out to celebrate an occasion
Great experience, visited for our wedding anniversary and realty enjoyed the atmosphere. The food and wine were great and the staff was exceptional.
We were not expecting to find such fine dining on our last night in Lake Louise. Although pricey 114 CD per person the 4 course meal was one of the best in memory. Choices included butterleaf lettuce with a light mustard dressing, scallops in a lemon buerre blanc, beef stroganoff with homemade noodles, and strawberry rhubarb crumble. Nothing too exotic but all presented with attention to freshness, quality, flavor, and appearance. Each sauce was a little different from the norm and even the garnishes were not the usual afterthoughts. The wine list was exceptional and the sommelier helped us choose an interesting white chenin blanc that complemented all our food choices. Throughout the meal our waiter, Jamie, was attentive and paced the service nicely. Soothing piano music in the lounge added to the atmosphere of relaxed fine dining. All in all a memorable dinner at the Post Hotel restaurant!
Amazing meal with attentive, efficient, and friendly service. I was particularly impressed by how many staff were present , and all cooperating closely and supporting each other. All staff were willing to take the time to chat with you in an authentic unrushed manner.
