The only reason I am rating 3 stars is because the food is way overpriced. It tasted fine. However, for two people spending over $120 on two entrees, a small salad and two drinks was definitely not worth it. The wine I had tasted watered down and I couldn’t finish it. The pizza was alright, I ordered from the lounge menu. The bison my partner ordered was good but so small, maybe three or four bites worth. If you are going to want to spend some money on a nice dinner I recommend going to the Fairmont instead and you can expect similar pricing and better food.
This restaurant is part of the CRMR group and they maintain high and consistent standards. This one is set in a very rustic log cabin hotel in the middle of arguably the most scenic areas in Canada. The food was delicious as expected, ambiance was wonderful. The three of us had their duck confit, pork chops, and mushroom pappardelle, all fabulously presented and prepared. Their pricing, like many similar restaurants, had entrees ranging from $30 to $60 so won't be for the budget conscious but was in line with other quality establishments. I would recommend it for our car club's next dinner event.
Attention Day trippers to Lake Louise!!! This is the spot to check out for your breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Very good quality food and well presented. We had a lovely dinner here on our 1st night and an awesome breakfast the next morning. We observed that the nearby Chateau lacked a sit down breakfast option and long waits for tables. The dining room has rustic charm and great service and the adjacent lounge has some good options from the same kitchen. Coming out of Covid, the staff and management are doing a great job with the menu and service.
We came here for Brunch to escape the cold. The chicken and waffles was one of the best meals we had on the trip. I kind of regret both of us not getting this. If you come for brunch, get the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles deserves the 5th star. I got a sampler plate with 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 1 Buffalo sausage, a small breakfast steak, and some breakfast potatoes. It was okay, but nowhere near as good as the chicken and waffles. Service was a bit slow, but we were also there at a bit of a weird time so I think there was only 1 person taking care of everyone in the dining room.
Staying in Deer Lodge for 2 days. Dined in the restaurant for one of the nights. Appreciate the staff for checking & complying with all the COVID measures. The food was well prepared, very flavorable. The sfeff is fiendly & courteous. The decor is rustic, fitting for the mountain environment.
I Absolutely enjoyed our experience here. The service was phenomenal and prompt. Cutlery and dishes were spotless! And let’s talk about that view. Down right gorgeous. As For the meal, We went with a Game chorizo Linguine. Good size portion and fill our stomachs. If you’re in this area I highly suggest to swing by. You won’t be disappointed!
There is absolutely nothing innovative about the menu here. I don't mean that in a bad way necessarily. If this is what you want, then the reviews don't lie. This is one of the better few? places in town. The price is a bit high, but they do execute well. If I were staying here again, I might go at least once more, but if you're not forget it. They don't appear to be staffed for it and were turning away anyone that wasn't a guest. It's a toughie. Overall it was decent if slightly over-priced especially when compared "globally", but in town, you ain't got a lot of options!
We had an amazing time at the Deer Lodge Restaurant! Niamh was our server and she was great. The food was excellent - I’d particularly recommend the charcuterie board as a starter. We felt like everyone went the extra mile for us while there. Would highly recommend!!Recommended dishesCharcuterie Platter
We ate here after a day on the lake. The service was oddly slow and patchy. We both ordered the tenderloin and it was sadly overcooked and charred at the edges and most certainly NOT a "tender" loin. The hostess that ended up covering our original server's tables was a sweet heart. We won't be back.
Great lodge atmosphere, service was slow..waited on drinks through the whole meal. One entre was good, other burger - which was advertised as game really fell short. Burger patty was way overcooked and compressed/previously frozen. One would expect a game lodge presenting as a destination for game....to have something decent. 4/10.Food: 3/5
