The pantry has been here for a long time , run by the beloved Mrs Ackerman. Great cheese and charcuterie selection. Fresh baguattes. You can sit down in the lively dining area or pack a picnic to go. Chic and homey at the same time. This is a favorite weekend haunt for brunch, but go early. It can be very crowded on the weekends. The staff is friendly even when it gets nutty with the weekend New York crowd.

Nice country deli with a twist. Great deserts and comfortable setting. Fresh daily items.

Real expensive. Ordered cheese soup and it was full of everything but cheese. Waitress disappeared so I couldn't even complain . The party I was with was in a hurry and the food had taken forever. To top it off, gratuity of 20% is ADDED in. You have no choice. Great selection of cheeses and deserts. Will stop in to take out, but I'll skip the $25 lunch of soup and salad

Oh my goodness I loved the pantry. All my Connecticut landed gentry dreams came true here. Lots of mayo, sancerre at 12 pm and big fur coats with jeans and 1970s era mud boots
