Came here with my son. I haven't had such a pleasant experience in a long time. The staff were very sweet, we were served by Renee. The beer selection is great. We had the fish and chips and both parts were perfectly done. The decor is on point, the seating is comfortable, and we were lucky to show up on a live music night. We sat in a booth on the restaurant side there is a side that faces the stage and the volume of the band was just right. Highly highly recommend!
First time visiting the Old Familiar, and it did not disappoint. Very kind and friendly server and delicious food. Nice to have such a big patio!
We just went in for a quick drink and got a plate of nachoes- our only disappointment was that there wasn't more. That says a lot when there aren't a whole bunch of nacho chips left "nekkid". They had a singer on guitar who was great. Friendly waitress. I'd go again.
Quaint, small spot. Had the burger and onion rings. Both were good. Burger pattie was homemade. Service was prompt and courteous. The burger was recommended by a friendly and sincere employee Emily that was there off shift. If I'm in town again, I will definitely be back.
Nice little spot in Coldwater, wasn't busy Sunday afternoon. Small cozy wood filled dining area. Had the philly sandwich and it was good. Had a couple drafts on tap steam whistle, lugtread. Looks like a nice patio for summer.Food: 5/5
Feb 14,23 I went for their $80 per couple valentine dinner & see diamond king Elvis. Pay attention to your bill I didn’t, the $80 valentine dinner I took a look at the bill the next day & I was charged $131.10. The cheesecake & drink that they showed on their valentine dinner menu for that night was extra. I called all day Wednesday & Facebook them the next day & I was told the owner will call me, well he called & hung up, I called back twice & 3 days later I still haven’t heard from anyone. So the shrimp Alfredo & a glass of wine was $40. Never again
10/10 I ate at the Old Familiar today for the first time. My father & I had lunch, it was wonderful! He had the club house sandwich and salad, & I had the half quesadilla. His sandwich was delicious he wanted to order another and the garden salad was fresh and full of yummy toppings. Even though I order the half quesadilla it was plenty of food for me and even had some to take home! The salsa it was served with was to die for, very fresh and flavorful! To top it off our server Brendan was fantastic! He was attentive & friendly. I will eat here again and recommend to anyone in the area!
The hot hamburger special was a hard microwaved patty on top of a plain white slice of greasy bread... not toasted or hot and there was a hair in the patty. Absolutely gross. Didn't even offer anything for a discount or no charge for the food. Just excuses about the new, young cook. I will never eat there again. It was my first and last time. As to the owners response, he clearly has no idea what he is talking about if he doesn't know what specials he runs. The Old familiar beside post office in Coldwater..
the food is decent, you'll come across some good waiters here but you'll also come across some bad staff owners. they talk badly about customers. it's a win-lose situation. there's also other things people are saying. go here for your own experience. I'm sorry if it's not a good one
Tracey was an amazing waitress! She was very welcoming and professional. Tracey definitely made me feel like home, I will definitely be back for the amazing services!
