Really enjoyed this and the food was great. I went based on the Google reviews of others and it was really worth it. He got the raw oysters and a medium spicy crawfish boil, side of coleslaw, and added a hard boiled egg, and I had a mixed drink Another Day in Paradise or something like that and I had a mild spicy crab leg boil. The garlic butter sauce the boils came in were SO GOOD, and everything was so reasonably priced. All of their mixed drinks were $8.00 or $9.00, and the boil prices also were really reasonable. There was lots to choose from on the menu including a whole sushi side I didn't even get to try yet. Staff was friendly, and we were checked on by the manager or owner? who went around to see how everyone is doing. Definitely recommend checking this place out, and if you are trying to decide between here and The Tangy Crab, The Ocean Crab is WAY better.
Experience was great. One of the waitresses remembered me from the first time I came in over 5 months ago. The staff is super nice and when placing my order they told me how to get the exact food I wanted for a cheaper price , Even though seafood is naturally pretty expensive, the price is weren't horrible I spent about $40 on two clusters of crab, a lobster tail the corn and potatoes and fresh broccoli that came with them a drink and dessert. it might have been just because when I went but there was virtually no wait time. The food was absolutely delicious. I've been there three times and I plan on going plenty more
GREAT sushi, our drinks came quick regardless of obviously being a little under staffed BUT SHE'S FAST AS FUDGE TO TAKE OUR ORDER AND GET US OUR DRINKS, we came expecting a different kind of experience but honestly this could not have been a better experience for me and the wife, we brought a friend that got the po' boy... she's currently staring at her po' boy with murderous intent, a smile on her face and a smudge of sauce in the crook of her mouth from the first bite. Amazing food. Good prices. I just watched the transition from one set of people at a table to another and there was about a 5 minute clean-up and sanitization to new table paper cover to new guests at their seating, Please try this place out!
Really hit the spot. I love crab boils but the wife always ends up just watching me eat while she nibbles on an order of fries or something. Well, she loves sushi so this place was a must try. Our waitress was Tracy and she was superb. I got a boil with Cajun seasoning and she suggested I combo it with the garlic butter and she was not wrong! Wife got sashimi and a roll and was very impressed... and she's pretty picky when it comes to her sushi. Tracy even tried to teach me the best way to eat crawfish I failed and suggested the best way to pick up my wife's sushi roll slightly more success. We're definitely going back to try the specials and ask for the chef Bob? to make us something unique from up his sushi sleeve.
Delicious! The inside looks amazing, clean, and you would never know it from looking outside. What I loved most was being able to customize my meal and not pay an arm and leg for what I didn't want to eat seafood wise. I will definitely come back to this clean, good testing food!
Every time I have been here the food has been incredible, then they got a sushi bar and damn! It tastes amazing, presentation is incredible, wow. I ordered carry out today wings and salad..about a 15 minute drive home. By time I get to the wings they are STILL crispy! Amazing food 11/10 will continue dining here. Thank you for all the amazing different types of food!!! Oh and the staff is amazing as well! Go here already!
I ordered a pasta and shrimp boil which was customary with corn, potatoes, eggs, sausage, shrimp, and pasta in all the Cajun seasonings everything was cooked to perfection, was well seasoned, the service was fast and efficient. The waitress was very helpful and attentive not one bad thing to say upon this visit. 5/5 on everything an I don’t say that lightly. Highly recommended..
It was sort of hard to find because there is no sign at the road. You have to look to the top of the restaurant. Food was great. Will definitely be having food from there again. My only complaint is I am not a fan of their hush puppies. They were small and kind of hard. The seafood was delicious.
Seeing that this was the last of the four Cajun-Asian seafood establishments to open within a year, I honestly was slightly skeptical of how the food fared. To BOTH my husband's and my surprise, the experience FAR exceeds other local restaurants of this type. The seafood boils are of high quality, with very flavorful butters and seasonings. The staff is very friendly and quite attentive. And, yes, BOTH versions of their iced tea sweetened and unsweetened are legendary. The food prices are quite comparable to the other three seafood places. I have visited The Ocean Crab a few times and have NOT been disappointed with anything I've ordered here. PRO TIP: I highly recommend getting the Garlic Butter Seasoning. You can def. bring home the seasoned butter, which is good for pastas, potatoes, steamed rice, etc. Phenomenal flavor. Also, try the sausage in said seasoned butter.
Great place!!! We are traveling and chose this spot for dinner. It was five-ish early plenty of seating available. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and showing to a booth. Our waitress was super helpful and asked if it was our first time there, which we said yes, so she proceeded to review the menu in great detail. One side is all of their boils, which is basically different pieces of seafood in a bag along with Corn on the cob and potatoes. And then you pick your type of sauce which we chose garlic butter, and then you pick your spiciness level. There were plenty of options to choose from and she was very careful to point out that using the combinations or specials down the side of the menu really helped save money based on what you wanted to eat. The flipside of the menu is mostly sushi and appetizers. So we opted to go with a couple of sushi rolls, easy ones, California rolls and shrimp tempura roll and we chose the boil bag for $29 that had crab, muscles, shrimp, two corn cobs and two potatoes. It was more than enough food for both of us and we enjoyed it immensely. We did the simple garlic butter sauce with a medium spice level and it was perfect. We had a bib as things can get messy when you are pulling the crab out, what wipes to clean up and it was a perfect meal. The only disappointment is she explained that their liquor license had expired, so we had to settle for ice tea. Apparently they are getting that fixed! They have quite an ice bar so I imagine this is a bit painful for them. If we lived in the area we would be here quite often I can imagine! Prices were very reasonable, for all of the above we paid approximately $45
