The Moth Cafe

I went into the Moth Cafe on a Sunday with my three children ages 12, 11 and 5. We had just enjoyed a walk in the downtown area and came in to unwind. I found the service very slow. It took them a while to take our orders. With children that’s not something you can tolerate. We ordered spaghetti with mushroom meatballs, pancakes and blueberry cheesecake. The meatballs were awful, they tasted like they were soaked in salt and garlic. The spaghetti and sauce was good. The pancakes were hard as rock and inedible we left them all on the plate, licked the delicious cinnamon frosting off and enjoyed the strawberries. The blueberry cheesecake is to die for, the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. At the end of our meals we waited almost half an hour before they came to get the check for us and even that we had to flag the server( which is not nice). Overall a date that should have been for an hour took two. The servers attitudes were pleasant, that was a positive. There was hair on our chairs I also need to mention that ended up finding itself on our table. So that’s my take. Enjoy!

First time tried this cafe and I must say it really met my expectations. The interior design of the cafe is very nice and has a great atmosphere. I ordered a latte with agave as sweetener and I really liked it. The food is little overpriced however. Definitely not a place to come to everyday for a meal. But I'd definitely come again for a hot beverage.

Worth every penny. Real - Real great vegan dishes. I promise you won’t miss meat. My gosh what a great experience. This place will make it easier, delicious and reasonable to go time and again. Love the off the beaten path vibe. Desert with any libation is a great afternoon moment that shouldn’t be missed.

It was good, I really enjoyed and want this place to succeed, this place has a lot of potential, (casual, cozy little corner), so constructively, Please: -you need to let people know, ahead of time, that you only take CASH and DEBIT, -that you should cancel your reservation ahead of time or you will still pay "gratify" even when your guests change their mind in the last minute. (6 or more) -that the restrooms don't have a sign at the door. Improve -Clean Napkins. -Cutlery -Service. -Menu presentation. On the bright side: Deserts (ALL GLUTEN FREE) were absolutely amazing as well as the teas (Decaf) and specialty regular coffee. Decoration and ambiance! The place was full! Keep up the good work!

Popped in to The Moth for a friend's birthday dinner the other night and was pleasantly surprised. The decor was absolutely darling and very comfortable. The service was friendly and the food was incredibly flavourful~ I had a gin drink with rose petals and it was delicious! (so delicious, I had three!)
