Now in its 20th year, The Monkey Bar remains North Toronto’s favourite neighbourhood restaurant. Proprietor and chef Richard Fox-Revett, formerly of The Windsor Arms Hotel, The Four Seasons Hotel, Splendido and Centro, offers a contemporary bistro menu that includes seafood, meat, pasta, and vegetarian dishes. Many of our menu items are gluten-free and paleo-friendly. We even offer a children’s menu. Chef Richard uses local and organic ingredients where possible, as well as sustainable seafood. Everything is prepared in-house, from soup to nuts, even the hand-cranked ice cream. Our atmosphere is warm and inviting, and our service is friendly and knowledgeable. Chef Richard’s right hand man in the kitchen is Robert Yeung, who has been with The Monkey Bar for ten years. You will often spot Richard’s son Jeremy in the kitchen too. On the floor you will find Richard’s wife Melissa, as well as daughter Lindsay, son Cameron (ask him to sing “Happy Birthday”) and niece Emily, as well as Katia who started working at The Monkey Bar fifteen years ago.
