What a view. Fantastic patio. Excellent food. Simple menu. Great service. I cannot recommend enough. PS. I rarely give a 5 star rating, only when I am made to feel like someone has truly gone out of their way for me.

What an utter disappointment. I saw this place on the Great Waterway website as one of eight great patios to check out. I loved up the number for "Miller House" and called to make a reservation on the patio in an area where there was a nice view and the we were driving up from Kingston. She took my reservation and agreed we'd have a spot with a view. So when I got there we went around the side to the patio where there was no staff to be found. Then we went inside where still no one greeted us. Finally I asked someone who we talk to about our reservation. She said they don't take reservations and that they don't have a phone. That my reservation was at "The Inn" across the street (not facing the water /view that was so raved about). So when we got across the street we found our table sandwiched in the middle of a small patio, where the only view was everyone around you. I don't know if they're new to the popularity but when someone specifically asks for the MILLER HOUSE WITH A NICE VIEW ON THE PATIO and that they're driving an hour and a half, perhaps let them know that the patio with the view is at the Miller house across the road and that they don't take reservations and that if I do want reservations it will be for The Inn, NOT Miller House and that the Inn doesn't have a view. Needless to say, we left and tried the Riverfront Pub in Napanee and it was incredible.

My friends and I had a great lunch across the street from the Miller House...at the bottom of their menu it was written that we could enjoy espresso's or Latte's across the street at the Miller House. Excited to have a little caffeine before a long drive home we arrived to the Espresso Bar area at 3:15 to a rather surly server. When we ordered the first two coffees - black - it appeared that our server had much better things to do. The next order for a 1/2 cafe Latte ... we thought our server's deep sigh was uncalled for. She had never had 'that' order before! The final order for a decaf Latte ...my friend said 'That's a decaf right?' as they began to make her drink. Well...the servers stopped...sighed...rolled their eyes...and one said 'You didn't ask for that!' The tension was very uncomfortable. Let it be noted there was no one else awaiting a hot drink! My friend's drink - the decaf - was handed over, when we got to the car we realized it was only 1/2 full! Due to this experience we would not recommend Miller House for Latte's or Regular coffee's!!!

Beautiful view. Surprisingly reasonable prices. We had a mixed charcuterie that was absolutely delicious. Within walking distance of Lake of the Mountain.
