This review is long overdue!nnSylvia, Stephanie, and all the other incredible staff at the Mill,nnSylvia - I must admit switching wedding coordinators in the midst of wedding planning was a bit nerve racking but I'm sure glad it happened! You exceeded any expectations we could have ever had! You took the time to care about all the small details while asking all the right questions some of which we hadn't even thought of! You organized and kept our day running from start to finish seamlessly and we couldn't be more thankful! Also I must say bringing us a drink and some cocktail hour food right after the ceremony was a highlight lol.nnStephanie - I was genuinely worried about everyone getting their hair and make-up done on time, setting up the decor, organizing vendors and where they need to go/what they need to do day of but you took care of it all!! I will be forever grateful for that because it allowed me time to enjoy my morning getting ready with my most important people and then go with ease into the ceremony!nnIncredible Staff at the Mill - Thank you for the incredible day, from the incredible food to the all around good vibes that everyone had all day long until clean up started! The bar has been raised very high by The Mill Restaurant & Pub Cobourg. An absolutely exceptional burger. Their Enright Burger, a house-made patty using locally raised grass-fed Enright Farm beef, with lettuce, tomato and pickle on a brioche bun, we added crispy bacon & blue cheese.nPick your side, from the soup feature, famous fries or salad - you really can’t go wrong!nWe shared an appetizer of breaded dill pickle spears with a very good buttermilk ranch dip.nWe have very much enjoyed their fries based offerings the last 2 years at Cultivate Festival.nWe celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary here in 2010, visiting again in October that year.nFish & chips + the dill pickles both times.nWe have obviously been remiss in not visiting more often.nWe have resolved to remedy this in future.
We recently had our wedding at The Mill, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire planning process.nnFrom the very beginning, Sylvia was absolutely incredible. She was responsive to every email, helpful during site visits, and always available to answer our many questions and help with every detail along the way. She made the entire planning experience feel easy, exciting, and stress-free.nnOur wedding day was absolutely amazing. Even though we had to adjust our plans due to the weather, everything came together beautifully. The team handled the changes seamlessly, and the day was still everything we had hoped for and more.nnWe are so grateful to Sylvia and the entire team at The Mill for helping create such a beautiful and memorable celebration. We truly couldn’t have done it without them and would highly recommend The Mill to anyone looking for an exceptional wedding venue.
On a recent mystery tour that led us to Cobourg, my wife and I were looking for a great independent restaurant for an early dinner. We stumbled upon The Mill, which looked interesting since it was part of a golf course. We checked out the menu online and were impressed by the reasonable prices.nnWe were thrilled to find an open table for two on their lovely patio. Our server, Carly, was fantastic. She gave us some great recommendations, pointing out popular dishes and what other diners were enjoying. Based on her suggestions, we both ordered sandwiches. I had the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with delicious corned beef, sauerkraut, and dill pickle. It was a really authentic flavor, and my only wish was for a little more meat. My wife ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich and absolutely loved the grilled chicken breast and the excellent sweet potato fries that came with it.nnI paired my meal with a dark lager from Northumberland Hills brewery, and my wife enjoyed a great glass of Australian red wine. The atmosphere was incredible, surrounded by lush greenery and the beautiful, lovingly restored architecture of the 1830s-era mill.nnWe had such a wonderful experience that we're already planning to go back the next time we're in Cobourg. I would highly recommend The Mill to anyone passing through town.
Our server Steph was amazing . Very accommodating and asked us how things were with a great smile. She was the helpful with suggestions on the menu. We were not disappointed. Very good food, wine and atmosphere. Would recommend!!
