Friendly staff. Good ice coffee and cozy atmosphere. Restroom is outside of the coffee shop. Most recent visit April 2019. We visited this place again for breakfast and the simple bagels and Greek yogurt were great. Very friendly staff as always. Nice atmosphere in the weekday morning.
Spacious spot with OK food. What they lack in food, they make up in customer service. It’s great that they employ young kids on BI, and give them this opportunity. They’re all great, nice kids. I usually order the same sandwich, and it’s not always consistent depending on who’s working but I don’t go there for the food but the convenience when I have a million things to do and just need some fuel. I do wish, however, they would stop writing on the lids with chalk marker! Often, my coffee seeps a bit through the lid and the hot liquid picks up the chalk immediately and my lid is now floating chalk and spilled coffee. Just use a sharpie on the cup, please.
Cool market place with an espresso bar breakfast sandwiches, etc. A regular bar mixed drinks, a wine bar and a bottle shop for liquor and spirits. One stop shop! Seating inside and out with patio heaters.
Great location and ambiance. On a nice day, outdoor seating is the only way to go. They have bakery items, hot sandwiches, salads, charcuterie, wine, cocktails, and a decent beer list. I felt the lunch menu was limited and service was a little slow, though it was a busy day and restaurants are still adjusting to the new COVID guidelines. The whole village area seems very pet-friendly, in fact it was pet-popular on this day. It's good to see people out and about again! Olympic Otter
Food was terrible and service was mediocre. The grilled cheese was just barely warmed bread with cold cheese on it and the BLT lacked the B and the T. Not worth it.
I am a local and visit Marketplace almost daily, no other options around this side of the island, and the food on this place is getting worse and worse by day which is a shame. All the bread and pastries are "from" Macrina, which used to be a great bakery, but no longer. Macrina expanded and they "carefully" source their products. Basically the Starbucks equivalent for baked goods. A bagel with cream cheese is about $6+, and the bagels are consistently 2-3 days OLD. Really?! Macrina's truck delivers every day and they can't serve you a fresh $6+ bagel? The egg sandwiches, frittatas used to have real eggs now, the "eggs" are some kind egg patty you get out of a box, and taste nothing like eggs. Some of the staff are great and friendly, some other do not give a dam and dismissive. If you are visiting, do yourself a favor, go to Coquette downtown, get yourself a real pastry, or sandwich in a real baguette, baked here in the in the island daily, by the owner.
Can’t say enough about their BLT with pickled onions. Great selection of pastries and Free WIFI. If you’re around at night definitely check out there to $2 buck shuck night. Freshest oysters so so yummy
Notionally interesting restaurant structure with several choices of food type. Arrangement of menus is really inconvenient for everything but the coffee shop, as you order in front of the coffee shop and can't see the other menus. Their taproom was somewhat understaffed and service was slow, even though there weren't many people there. The food was fairly expensive, but mostly pretty good. Their avocado toast could use some refinement. Kid-friendliness: Outside seating, fairly informal.
Relaxed gathering place with coffee, bakery, sandwiches & beer venders. Superb coffee!
Good crew and good food. This is their line at 9am for their donuts. Enough said.
