"The Ludus Martial Arts Academy is a martial arts studio in South Edmonton, designed for martial arts students of all ages and skill levels to learn from highly experienced coaches. The Ludus is an amazing place to train. I instantly felt welcome on my first day here. The community in this gym is amazing and the people really make this place great. Not only did I feel welcome and comfortable training here the coaching here is very high level. The coach here leads by example and is on the mat training with his students. The best grappling coach I have had the pleasure of training. The Ludus is definitely the best gym in Southside Edmonton to train at for martial arts and I cannot wait to see this team grow. I am happy and grateful to continue being a part of this family.
My two sons attending and they love the coach Justin as he is an excellent leader and mentor. Now my husband joined as well. Gurantee won't find a better place than this in Edmonton. Strongly recommended.
We joined Ludus and immediately felt welcomed! Our whole family has joined and found something for all of us even though we have varying abilities. The coaching is superb and they are so good with my kids! I really see them coming out of their shells and they are excited to go to every class! Very nice facility as well.
I started to train at the Ludus due to the previous gym I was at closing due to the pandemic. I was looking for a friendly environment that not only I could develop more as a grappler, but could also be welcoming to my 2 year old daughter if she ever wanted to come to a open mat. After the very first day Training under Professor Justin, I knew I found my home.
Whether your considering joining as a new student or an experienced fighter The Ludus will be able to facilitate the level of training you want. Speaking from experience there are highly skilled instructors that are happy to help you focus on your training & goals with a wide array of daily scheduled martial arts classes to choose from as well as personal training available. You can expect dedicated instructors teaching effective technique & sparring routines in a team orientated environment. Other clubs might talk about how they are all about team but here, they actually walk the walk which is something to be super proud of. Monthly memberships are very reasonable and your going get an extremely clean and well maintained training facility. Don't take my word for it. Drop in for a class or show up for open mat on Sundays and you'll get what I mean.
Been training here since summer of '22. Great coaching, dedicated students, and a fun experience, even if you're brand new.
Very clean,welcoming, motivational, and great coaches.Justin,Victoria, and Nick are also good at getting shy kids to excel .My wife and 3 kids started in September 2022 and look forward to every class.
I visited for the first time recently where the club was hosting a seminar. I was greeted with open arms and felt welcome and at home on the mats. The facility is clean, safe, and spacious to train on. It was inspiring to see the collaboration Ludus has between YEG BJJ communities and clubs. Go train.
Awesome facility thats super clean and comfortable! Excellent coaching all around for jiu-jitsu, MMA and kick boxing. The crew down there are killers at every level with 0 attitudes. They make you feel like part of the team from day 1 and are always willing to help you out with anything
I felt very welcomed at Ludus. Justin is a fantastic instructor and makes learning jiu jitsu super enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone thinking about trying jiu jitsu or martial arts!
