Beautiful view, small place. If you order anything deep fried you will be peeling the batter off. Service could have been better. The waitress was less than friendly but tolerable.

Large bar with good selection of beers. Good service from friendly staff. Nice decor with awesome view of Maple Bay. Parking gets very limited especially during summer months with beach goers.

Came in for a few pints. The atmosphere is casual and very friendly. Seems like a lot of people kow each other. A great neighbourhood pub. Try the fat tug IPA!

Friendly waitress and good food! Great to find a Scottish pub so far from home.

More like 3.5 stars. I'd like to give them 5 stars, since the location is amazing, the patio is excellent, and the food has been consistently delicious. And their selection of beer on tab is fantastic, they've had some really good ones lately. Unfortunately, as others have remarked, the service can be REALLY bad at times, it's quite hit or miss. The girls seem more interested in chatting with friends than serving the other customers, and most of them carry a snotty look on their faces. Calling it "Scottish" might be taking a bit of a liberty - I mean it's your average Canadian pub with some Scottish themed highlights on the menu. Don't get me wrong, it's a really good place to eat, just don't expect anything like the Crow and Gate in Nanaimo in terms of authenticity. I'm also a bit choked that they got rid of their East Coast Poutine - that was a favorite of several of us locals that visit there.
