The Library Restaurant

Yes I was at the library doing research.nThe food here or specifically the specials were uninspired. The lobster Mac & cheese took over 30 min to get to the table and the chicken Philly was a cut up chicken patty with a red pepper. Maybe I expected too much of the specials.nThe back and blue burger didn't disappoint though.n The craft beers were also good.nOverall just average for the cost.nnThe service was very good. The bar tender/waitress was doing it all. Love to see the hard work and the tip reflected it at 30%.nn The atmosphere did feel like a library but that was good. We were able to look at the river while enjoying our lunch, conversation, and each other.

I recently visited the Library at 62 Isle Royale St, in Houghton, MI. It's a beautiful restaurant and I sat at a fantastic looking bar. There were several delicious sounding meal choices on the menu. I ordered the Parmesan coated chicken and it was delicious. The service was very good and is well worth another visit. It would be a good place for a nice drink and enjoy a date night at. Thanks.

Blue cheese burger was SO good! The truffle fries with pesto aioli; amazing. I should’ve only ate half of my meal because i was so full, but it was so good I couldn’t stop eating. The “famous” au gratin soup, understandable for its reputation, delicious!nThe food exceeded my expectations. Great view. Service was great.

It was 15 years ago since I last visited The Library in Houghton, and I remember the food being a lot better than what it was when I stopped for dinner. We had a sandwich and a small pizza after about a 15-minute wait to get seated. We weren't impressed by either.

What a beautiful place to experience! The staff is kind and attentive and the food is sophisticated and unique. I came here with my sister a few months ago when I was visiting and can't wait to go again when I move here!
