Hunan Garden is a family owned buissiness. We've got our original recipes that you can't find anywhere else! You may dine in or carry ouit. Our food is served fresh everyday and your food will come out prepared just how you asked for it. We carry another international menu that have food you've propably never heard of. Ask for it, and our wonderful wait staff will hand you one.

**Edit** Back at our hotel room and I read some of the reviews down below **same profile for a lot of people** this restaurant should be permanently closed by Health Department if there is one up here. We were totally!!! ignored when we try to communicate with the waitress. When we walked in at 2:30 the floors were dirty it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in probably two days. The tables were set we sat down at one of the booths and the table had not been cleaned, and the silverware and glasses were upside down on top of leftover bits of food. So we got up and moved to a different booth and we told the lady at the table had not been cleaned. She just wipes everything with **her hand** off onto the seat and then onto the floor at that point we had enough. There menus were **kept together** with **duct tape** what kind of a restaurant is this, you decide. I highly do not recommend anyone to eat here not sanitary!!!!!

I love hunan. Awesome food and the owners are super nice. My number one destination in Houghton!!

This review is for the specials and the Chinese menu. They make some really delicious food, and I've never gone wrong when I ordered from either of those places. My understanding is that they use different, more traditional ingredients (including more spice) for the Chinese menu. That may not sit as well with the local palate, but having tried both menus, I'm sticking with the Chinese one.
