Great cocktail and drink selection. Friendly and attentive staff. Elegant style of dining and decor. The food was delicious however the portions were tiny and not worth the high prices.

Great food in a great atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and service is typically very good. Only complaint is that the tavern menu is confusing in that it sometimes is not presented along with the regular menu when sitting in the dining room. Otherwise a great place for a nice meal.

My husband and I and two friends ate there many years ago. I will never go back. The bar upstairs had a ceiling so low you had to be careful you didn't hit your head when you stood up. The hall upstairs had badly warped flooring in need of repair. There was one menu with one meal choice back then. The staff was very attentive but our meal was a huge disappointment! The food simply had no flavor! There was hardly any seasoning in the whole meal and the roast beef and potato were lukewarm. The gravy was cool and lumpy. The lemon pie barely had any lemon taste. The table was set with nice silver and dishes and the restaurant had a nice ambiance but the food was very blah and overpriced. My own roast beef dinners at home have much better flavor! I had expected much more!

Low key restaurant that is aiming to match it's historical reputation with too quality food but NYC prices in small upstate NY town. Bar is a treat, however, as the mixologist takes particular interest in his job to curate unqiue cocktails on a seasonal basis.
