The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Dartmouth Crossing

My husband and I had an amazing time here. The food, service and overall experience was exactly what we needed. I can't praise this location enough, or our server! He was attentive, nice, helpful and friendly. We started off with the mushroom Neptune, which was fantastic! I had the steak and lobster tail both were cooked perfectly while my husband had the holiday entree with twice baked potato. As we were celebrating we had the Billy miner pie to top off the evening. It was a perfect dinner and we're looking forward to coming back soon

Wife and I ordered the Keg burger with fries and a double baked potato. Everything was spot on from the chuck, the ingredients down to the bun. Burger appeared to have been a 8oz or bigger I’m not sure. Didn’t go away hungry I’ll tell you. That roll they offer is to die for hahaha! The service was impeccable on the bar side. We were made to feel catered to and the management appear to have it down pat. Even the atmosphere was beautiful and I can see why everyone raves about this place. Yea it can be expensive but in all honestly you will walk away with a smile. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

The restraunt was very busy, but it was the Monday after a long weekend. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I got the vegetarian meatloaf and it was delicious! Softer than I expected, didn't need a knife. But it was so good! Will definitely order again!

AMAZING experience! This was our first time trying The Keg, far better then we expected. The food was so amazing, beautiful atmosphere, but the service was what made it the best. Our waitress Necia was so professional but friendly, and the General Manger Steve made us feel very welcomed, he's a great face for the resturant! We will be back!

One of the best steak spots in Halifax. I've tried other Kegs and they simply don't compare to this one and I don't exactly know how or why. The waitresses were all wonderful snd chatty, the Hostess was quick and prompt and my little guy even got a free full sized cake for it being his birthday. At roughly 40-50 dollars a plate post covid prices it certainly isn't cheap by any means. Highly recommend. Great value for the dollars spent

First time visiting the Dartmouth location. Had a reservation for the long weekend in May, Saturday at 5:00pm. Sat in the lobby momentarily and then were taken to our seats. Our waitress gave us some time with the menus, I ordered the chili mango margarita and husband asked for a Blue Moon, they were out so he had another kind. We had the table bread and I ordered a Keg Classic so I had the blue cheese wedge salad, it was a huge portion!! Lots of toppings, dressing and blue cheese crumble. For our mains my husband had the blackened chicken with garlic mash, his chicken was so juicy. I had the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection and I loved the mushrooms and sauce. It was their 50th anniversary so they had a special chococolate cake being offered for dessert. The waitress poured chocolate over it when she got to the table. We couldn't finish it so we took it home. All in all a great experience. Love having a location on the Dartmouth side, will be back soon!

Nice and clean restaurant, I love the atmosphere here. Servers and host were so friendly. The Peppercorn Steak was so delicious, I really loved it. Everything was perfect. They even offered 4 pieces of bread with butter for snack while we were waiting for appetizers. The waiting time was reasonable. I’ll come back for the steak for sure

Big shout out to our server for the evening Sydney! Very helpful with making great menu choices, checked in on us frequently, the food was absolutely amazing. The restaurant was busy but not loud. Comfortable atmosphere. Easy place to get to and lots of free parking. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to treat yourself to a beautifully prepared meal. Hats off to the chefs & kitchen staff!

The Keg is consistent and the consistency is what makes it worth the trip. The service is always top notch - the manager brought our wine and chatted for a couple of minutes, the server was patient and kind with our group of 7, and a whole team of fast moving hands delivered our food, topped up our wine glasses and cleared our dishes throughout the evening. The food was exactly as expected - my steak was cooked perfectly, between blue rare and rare, a somewhat unique request I'm sure. The Caesar salad was exceptional. One of our party got a Keg burger and left very happy. We had children with us who ordered off the Kids Menu and they didn't love the cheesy noodles but did like the chicken strips. For atmosphere I gave a 4 because we were a bit tight against two other tables but it wasn't awkward or loud when we were seated, just a little tight for some of our group navigating themselves out to the washroom. Unique to where we were sitting though - otherwise it was great.

I do typically enjoy the Keg everytime I go. Great drinks, great food options every time. My only gripe about this outing at all was that the server did a poor job of accomodating our needs. Meaning - they literally asked everyone around us how their meals were, offered to refill drinks, and we got nothing after our steak oscar arrived. Nothing. I even tried to flag a server down with no luck. I would have loved another cocktail or even a refill for my glass of water! You can do better and have. I left disappointed and continued dessert and drinks elsewhere after we finally got the bill. For spending $150 on our meal, not a very pleased customer. Parking: This location is my favored location due to its large parking lot that is able to accomodate, as compared to down town Halifax where you pay for parking and end up walking a black or three to get the the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide aisles and easy to access washrooms .
