The June Motel

Yes, this is a motel! It reminded me of a chilled, hipster motel on the beach of south Cali with its modern interior decor. Renewed from its traditional motel setting the owners of this place did it right! Set in tranquil Prince Edward County overlooking the Lake On The Mountain this place sits in the midst of cottage country. A taste of modern Bohemia in the 'country'. Where it's neighbours are, wineries, breweries and a National Park. The set back is that there is no full service dining. Staged similar to a hostel where the lobby has a cozy couch do seating, bar area and a fire pit --all communal style the bar menu is more extensive than the food menu. There are pop up events otherwise, food is a drive away. Check-In is super friendly and you can't help but chat away with the staff and those that are in the lobby. You can't help but notice cute wine decors everywhere and think...GIRLS WEEKEND--perfect for the ladies who does not want to rough it! A great place to unwind with good wine and good vibes! Cheers!

What an awesome place! I wish there were more hotel/motels like The June Motel. From the very first minute here we knew it was going to be a great experience, and even asked about extending the stay before completing our check-in process. Sarah at the front desk was extremely genuine and nice. She also gave us a map and noted where points of interest were, asking specifically what sort of things we were hoping to see/do. The room itself was very tastefully decorated and felt homely from the moment we walked in. At the time of writing they also gave a welcome drink upon arrival, a nice touch. There was also a great sense of fun and community provided by a little fire pit that was lit in the evening. A bunch of us from the hotel gathered around the fire-pit and exchanged stories, people from nearby and far trading travel tips and just having a nice time. Considering the price this place is an amazing find and we would recommend it without hesitation... In fact I'd suggest you go out of your way to include The June Motel in your travel itinerary.

The new owners of the motel have created a very cool and hip atmosphere. The rooms are well finished and were comfortable. We really enjoyed the campfire they hosted... with free SMORES! Highly recommended. Book early. It fills up fast.

Drove from Toronto to PEC to stay a few nights at this little gem. From check in to check out we had a great experience. Totally guy friendly to anyone who thinks otherwise. It's all in the details at the June. I really enjoyed the soaps and local stuff in the bathroom and the views from the balcony. 5+ stars. Beds are low to ground and my knees came out a bit bruised and we wished there was a little table on our deck for our cheese and meat platter we ordered. Overall, we will be returning next summer or even sooner! Shout out to Sarah, Keri and Diane. You guys made our stay incredible. Cheers! Paul and Julie (Room 11) - Flamingo Hat Gang ;)
