The Hen & The Hound Bar & Bistro

This place is so unique. The culture, the food, the ambience and atmosphere and the owner, who came out to greet us (Tyler), is worth every penny we spent here. I had their special red wine, smooth and robust. From the appetizers, main meal to the dessert....there was no room for a negative thought. The flavors are extraordinary and close to soul food. It's quality and all made from local farmers, as Tyler explains. We also had homemade ice cream, which melted our taste buds.

A wonderful way to end a Holiday weekend with a Sunday brunch. The food is just plan awesome. Wonderfully sourced, properly spiced, and good for the price. Service professional with a home town feel, like going to your neighbors. The bathroom are mixed! There is a ramp to the front door. The restrant is accessible (call for specific needs).

Went there for a special occasion after reading these reviews. The waitress was wonderful. The prices were high (7.50 for a draft beer), the house burger was ok, but my wife's risotto with shrimp was inedible. Shrimp tasted like burnt wood and the rest of the mush sat in a pool of olive oil. On positive , when we said not to box it up, and why. They took it off the bill and offered a free desert. No thanks. Wont be back

There is no better place to eat in Middleburgh! Very friendly and accommodating service. The food is delicious, filling, and creatively presented. I have not ordered an appetizer I did not want seconds of!

We always have a good time here. It’s a cozy restaurant with great food. We have tried tacos, calamari, burgers...all was great. Dining room or bar seats are all 👍
