Rubbin Butts Bar-B-Q

I am in the area for a wedding and drove passed this place. Figured why not, I didn't do my due diligence and check reviews. My fiance and I walked in to an empty restaurant except for two guys sitting at the bar watching cops. I started chatting up the owner about the brewery because I was excited to try a beer. No license. Ok well that sucks. How about some food? My fiancee got wings with blue cheese and mac salad. I got the smoked turkey, ribs, and pork belly came with a piece of corn and corn muffin. Ordered a side of sweet potato fries. The turkey was good but a little dry, the ribs and bbq sauce were sub sub par, and the pork belly, while tender, was bland and just not worth it. Don't bother with this place, those 5 star reviews......I wouldn't trust them.

Worst BBQ I have ever had. Ribs were very dry. Rub had an odd taste. Corn on the cob with an off taste and the baked beans were so hot but when it cooled a little tasted off... Too much brown sugar and worsteshire sauce! Didn't even finish eating it. My boyfriend tasted my food too and thought it was awful!

Rude owner, will not be back. We had a large group of people come in, you would think they be thrilled for some business since the place was empty, instead sarcastic and no manners.

The ribs tasted like refrigerator. Obviously cooked one or more days earlier and reheated. My wife had fish and chips. The fish was cooked properly and had good flavor. If not for that, this review would be a one.
