I've been here many times before, and I 100% recommend their food, I think this is one of the best breakfast places in regards to the the taste of food compared to other breakfast spots. Food is always delicious! I love their cubed potatoe side, any egg dishes, and the red velvet french toast is to DIE for, literally so divine! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the last time we went, although the food was still great as usual, the service was not. We were given a dirty table at the back, even though there were empty clean tables, and the food took almost more than an hour to come. It was a long weekend, so I understand, but the table being dirty was quite upsetting.
We had the pleasure of visiting The Hen House of Wheaton, and it was a real treat for the senses. This establishment focuses on a healthier alternative to traditional breakfast and lunch restaurants, and they do not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, urban farmhouse atmosphere, complete with a cozy fireplace. The menu at this restaurant is a delightful mix of traditional and modern dishes, all made with fresh, creative ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for something classic like eggs benedict or something a bit more adventurous like avocado toast with a twist, there is something for everyone. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the presentation is beautiful
Just finished my 2nd trip for brunch to this great spot. At first I didn't understand why you are only allowed an hour at the table but seeing the line of people waiting for a table and the great service you receive - it is easy to appreciate getting to get out and grab a bite, without wasting too much time of your day. Everything looked very clean and the presentation of the food looks right out of a magazine. There is a great selection of items to choose from even delicious gluten free choices, that I am a personal fan of. With the cold freeze we are going through, you still have the choice to dine inside or on the patio because they have these heated globes you can enjoy your meal outside in. I look forward to the next brunch meetup so I can try a new menu item.
This is my new favourite Brunch place in the wheaton area. I recently tried it and I just love the food here. The food is so delicious and this place got plenty of options/amazing menu. I love the ambience, the white and black theme with all the great Christmas decorations. I would definitely recommend this place!
This was my first visit. I had the brie grilled cheese with bacon and apples. It was cheesy, sweet, and salty. My husband said the Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich was flavorful and not too spicy. I look forward to a return visit.
Had to spend the day in the Wheaton area and searched for a local breakfast place and found The Hen House. We really enjoyed our food. The corned beef has was very good and the Jelly that came with the toast seemed to be homemade which was a pleasant surprise and excellent. We also had the Waffle with Chocolate and Strawberries and it did not disappoint. I would recommend this local breakfast spot to anyone in the area. The Decors was nice and it was very clean. I highly recommend.
Large menu, gorgeous outdoor patio when the weather is right. Shared space with the restaurant next-door so they can expand on the weekend during a busy brunch. Our waitress was a delight. Picture is of their Mimosa bucket. You can pick the juice you want to add and you get mini splits of champagne. Vegetarian options: Hawaiian variety of options, they seemed fine with substitutions Parking: Limited on street parking, but the train station is right behind them. It makes for easy parking on the weekend

Staff is amazing and food is great too! Recommend ppl around 10 miles to visit this place. Worth driving!!!
We had the vegetarian skillet and the veggie omelette. My wife also had a bloody Mary with no bacon. We ate outside it was pleasant and if in the shade nice and cool on a 90 degree day for brunch. Lots of vegetables in both meals very fast and polite service.
