The Gumboot Restaurant

A great little restaurant in the heart of the creek. Great place for a dinner and then a walk by the ocean after. I will eventually try something else on the menu but their Buddha bowl has been my go to for years now, always good. Prices are reasonable and they have different local art on display and for sale which makes it a little different every time I go.

Friendly staff and fun cozy atmosphere. Prices where reasonable. The coffee was quite bad unfortunately. Care and attention went into the food prep and serving but the flavours where bland but inoffensive. A decent meal in a nice place. The staff and the atmosphere really are the stars here.

IGNORE BAD REVIEWS stating small or expensive. Gumboot is adequately priced for what is: local, tastes of the coast served in a cozy and authentic environment by cool wait staff. The food here is very good, some of the best the coast has to offer honestly. The salads and bowls are top notch, as fresh as they get with house made dressings. The cauliflower with cheese and figs is exceptional, and the carrot cake is the best a I've ever had. Unbelievable. You get what you pay for, dishes average $14 to $25. For two, a full rounded dinner with tip is $100. Nothing to complain about here, only praise. Gumboot is a MUST VISIT restaurant for first times to the coast, or any regulars who haven't been yet. It's just really really good.

Food was very good. The portions were a good size without being excessive. Staff were friendly and kind and the resto is family friendly. The only draw back was that it’s quite loud.
