Story

Nestled within the beautiful Grey Highlands you'll find our Guest House. The grounds sit atop the Niagara Escarpment at one of the highest points in Ontario - 1,400 ft. above sea level - bordered by the Conservation Area forest, Beaver Valley Road and historic Pellisier Street - segue to the trail and falls. Our distinctive country home is situated at Bruce Trail km 55.6 where the Beaver River approaches the cliff edge and plunges 90 ft. into the Beaver Valley. The views from the top are breathtakingly spectacular!

Spring, Summer and Fall you can hike the Bruce Trail, enjoy a walk on woodland pathways, cycle scenic backroads, golf, rock climb swim, canoe, kayak and fish on beautiful Lake Eugenia and the Beaver River - both just minutes away. Our famous winter snowfalls attract downhill skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers, cross-country skiers, dogsledders, snowmobilers and practically everyone who loves making angels in the snow!!

The room I was in was on the bottom floor & I had a shared bathroom & the people I had to share it with were very noisey & I didn't get much sleep. If you're going to stay here make sure you don't get these rooms. Rosanne the owner was very nice & friendly.

Very nice B&B right beside the Bruce Trail. Rosanne was a great host and the common room was a great place to hang out. fyi: hike north for the best hiking /trail running experience.

I planned a one-week writing retreat at this B&B, and it was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is lovely, and the hosts are extremely friendly and hospitable. The three bedrooms share a generous and comfortably furnished common area with TV and VCR. The kitchen is more than ample for simple meals, with a full-sized fridge/freezer, plus microwave, 2-burner hot plate and slow cooker. There are 2 small grocery stores in Eugenia, both an easy walk away, as well as a restaurant and a diner (open weekends). Each room has its own private entrance to the guests' patio. The bedroom was very comfortable; I was in the north room with large windows on 2 sides and a lovely king-sized bed. The shared bathroom was small but well-designed. The house is just steps from the conservation area and the falls, which plunge into a forested gorge. I cleared my head with walks on the Bruce Trail, and up to Lake Eugenia. I understand there's plenty to do in the area, though that's not why I was there! It was a perfect week -- highly recommended.
