"The Growing Season opened its doors in the fall of 2009, after four local women joined together to create a space where the community could share fresh, healthy food and drinks.This local eatery features homemade salads, soups, desserts, daily specials and smoothies.Lentils are sprouted in-house, and local seasonal produce is carried when available.We like to make everything from scratch, choosing the best and ingredients we can get our hands on while keeping our prices affordable. It was really good. I got the Harvest Salad and it was super delicious with yummy toppings it’s supposed to be cranberry but i swapped for sesame snaps, however there was a little too much sauce so the salad was kind of overwhelming. It was super filling, but a little pricier ~$15 after tax
Very cute and artistic atmosphere, staff were friendly and service was very fast! I came here in my quest for dairy-free options in the city, I had the Venus rice bowl and it was hella fresh and delicious. Would reccomend.
I ordered a Chipotle unwrap with chicken. It was so delicious and fresh! I didn't take any photos because I gobbled it all up but the salad was so good.Food: 5/5

One of my favourite spots to stop in for a healthy meal or a good bowl of soup! I was really excited to see you can order to go from their website, a service they must have added recently. I also really appreciate the growing seasons efforts to be environmentally friendly
Over priced food. Small sizes for what you pay for. Stupid costly for any extra item. This place is all save the planet vib well ill start by saving my money n not returning. Its lettuce n avocado. Get real with the price. Not returning.Food: 1/5
Maybe a 2.5. Food was expensive. Tasted alright smoothie okay.. 3.75 for food. Service was 1 star. 4 people working and talking in the back. Did not set the table, no napkin had to get it myself from the service station had to get my own water. Warm water No ice. Did not check on me. Definitely a to go place. Service is like a Tim’s.
Went to grab a quick salad when passing through the town! Got the rice bowl- so fresh and it was just like a warm hug on a cool fall evening. The ginger based dressing was to die for! Yumm.
Tried the growing company while visiting thunder bay. Will definitely be making this place a regular visit while I am come for work trips. The salad I had was the Greek goddess. The dressing is made in store and fantastic. The cous-cous is a interesting twist to a common Greek. I really liked it. Only thing I'd add is that I hate cilantro and no where on the menu does it say the salad has it in there !! I would have asked for it without. But still giving them 5 stars because the atmosphere and staff made up for the little error.
