Paul orchestrated an incredible evening. His wine suggestion was spot on. Tomahawk steak cooked to perfection. Sauces were also delicious. The staff made this experience 100% gold, thank you Paul!
The ultimate dining experience in Whistler. First class service from the moment you walk in. Food was amazing and menu had all you could want and more. Our server Adam made the whole experience - made our Tomato Gin soup table-side which was absolutely exquisite. Definitely recommend and look forward to our return.Food: 5/5
Had the amazing time celebrating a birthday dinner couple of weeks ago, the restaurant had a great atmosphere perfect to dine in at the Fairmont Chateau, the service was top notch!, server was very friendly and made sure our needs was taken care of, the food was delicious, excellent flavours, well balanced and many options to choose from. If you’re looking to eat at a fine dining restaurant in Whistler I highly recommend The Grill Room! Definitely coming back! : Thank you! for the wonderful experience.
We had the most enjoyable evening that we made reservations again for the following night and cancelled our other plans! The entire staff was amiable, especially our waiter Paul. The service made the evening very engaging and our meal was delectable. Also once again, the mixologist Ben engaged our senses with the Red Velvet Martini that has elevated our expectations for cocktails.
Had a lovely meal with my wife at The grill room in the fairmont whistler. Our server Maddie from Sydney, Australia epitomized excellence in every aspect of her service. She masterfully combined her expert food knowledge and consummate professionalism with her personality, sense of humour and kind-hearted nature. We look forward to our next visit.
I had dinner last week with my fiancé and everyone was so friendly. Service was very good as always but the food was from ANOTHER PLANET this time. So many flavours and different dishes that is very rare to find in whistler. It’s truly a GEM. The Foie gras and tuna is one from the best I ever had. The steak perfectly cooked. Sides dishes are so good that can be your main course as well. Amazing job to everyone and hats off to the culinary team.
This restaurant was beautiful. Our server Paul was incredible. What an attentive, kind and engaging server. Even pulled out my chair when I returned from the washroom. Food was superb. It was one of the best meals I've ever had, especially the pomme aligot. Will definitely return.Food: 5/5
Our server Adam was great. He made us feel comfortable and guided us through the menu offerings. Food was perfectly prepared. One of the best meals we have ever had.
Ambiance. Quaint and elegant Service. Professional. But a bit understaffed. Food. High expectations. Poor execution. It stared out with the underwhelming amuse bouche. Was some type of eggplant with other items. Had an overly vinegary taste. Kobe steak was ok. Not super tender and flavorful as expected. Fois gras dish was odd. There were two sauces. One was like a mayonnaise. Fois gras was ok. But oddly was served on a brioche doused with sauce that made it soggy. Made this fois gras lover disappointed. For the price tag....Totally not worth it. A classic restaurant with great food and excellent service. I miss the days of the classic hotel restaurant. The Grill Room is that old school, big chair, fine linen, tableside preparation restaurant, a true fine hotel dining room. Adam our waiter was fantastic, great knowledge, service and pace. He even knows how to flambe, a lost art. We very much enjoyed our evening with the Grill room and Adam , great job.
