Light and flavourful pastas. Sauces were well made and all the plates were hot and and freshly made. Timing with appetizers were perfect and staff friendly. Tiramasu for dessert was an ideal end. Nothing was overfulling and portion sizes were good.
Hidden gem in the neighbourhood. I have lived 5 mins away for 10 years and have only just come here that’s my bad but my goodness it was excellent. The food is clearly made with love and fresh ingredients and the service was equally caring and genuine. Our server hopefully I caught his name right Jacob was amazing. We shared their Pollo panini, Marenello pizza and pistachio cheesecake with some Italian beers during the meal and an espresso to finish it off with the dessert. Everything was fantastic or should I say “strabiliante”. To complete this authentically Italian experience I opted to ride my Ducati down for lunch and let me just say it was a perfect choice to add the cherry on top. The Service was superb A+. The Caprese Salad was a 2/10 what a mess honestly I would be embarrassed serving this dish. The free bread was nothing special. On the other hand the Napoli Pizza was great no complaints. For the main dishes we ordered gnocchi and vodka penne. The gnocchi came out looking like slop on a plate no garnish just an ugly plate of pasta fortunately the dish was tasty. Lastly the Vodka Penne. The presentation was better but still came out like slop on a plate. They charge a decent amount and I would expect a better effort in the presentation. In addition the portion sizes were not good. One plate of pasta wouldn’t fill you up. Come on man your Nona would give you the wooden spoon for serving portions this small. There’s no pride in the food they’ve become complacent. The tomatoes were not heirlooms they’re the cheap ones you get from superstore and the cheese was rubber and the dish was bland. The best part of the meal was the service.
It’s the staff that top this 5 star review. I really love friendly genuine staff from small restaurants like this that make the night great. The white wine sauce and mussels were delicious.
Went with my husband for our anniversary dinner. Excellent service and food was delicious! Definitely a neighbourhood gem easy to miss this place but you will never forget upon your first visit!
We had the Bruschetta to start and Tortellini della Casa and Lasagna for our mains. Everything was really delicious and fresh. The flavours are perfect also. Finally I tried an Italian beer that wasn’t Peroni. Beer comes with a chilled glass which is a nice bonus. Place is a bit small but not uncomfortable at all. Service was great. I can’t wait to try more!
The food is delicious specially tortellini de la casa Amazing , I just didn’t like so much the service because they are understaff they really need to have more waitress they have 2 for the whole restaurant and running all the time. They really need more people
It's a bit crowded at times, but the food and the service is fantastic. The pizza is incredible, and there is a good variety of other dishes as well. The bruschetta is especially good. Last night, I had the Chicken Breast special, and it was so damned good. The restaurant really feels like a family place, with the bustle and chatter that you would expect from a big Italian family. We had a wonderful evening on a cold snowy night. Reservations are definitely recommended.
Kind service, and comfortable place. The food is pretty good, and they have a great selection. Some of the food tastes store bought, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. The tiramisu is probably their best item on the menu. I enjoy the people, atmosphere, and service. I wouldn't come here just for the food as there are some better options, but if you are looking for a cozy place to eat this restaurant is the one.
The best handmade pasta you can get, not to mention the pizza! Impeccably fresh and flavourful! Service is friendly and fast. My favorite Italian restaurant in all of Vancouver!
