I have loved The Frying Scotsman for many years, since the cart was located downtown by the Pittock building. This is a rare place where you can get Haddock. If you have not had it, then try it! The Scotsman. Makes great food, good portions, and at a very reasonable price point. Get some today!
Fish tastes like fish, potatoes taste like potatoes... nothing hiding. Just perfect.
Frying Scotsman is BEST proper British/ Scottish fish and chips in Oregon Even better than the coast. Large pieces of fish, proper chips not french fries and good old mushy peas. With Malt vinegar of course!
Pretty decent. Good flavor, good chips. My big complaint is that the breading fell off the fish way too easily.
This cart offers several varieties of fish to choose from, the pieces are generous, the batter is perfectly crispy. Delicious! I will go back again and again!
Can only say that Frying Scotsman is a wizard when it comes to fish and chips. It's just that phenomenal.

Outstanding! The light, crisp batter is in perfect balance with delicious, creamy, buttery fish. Both the Haddock and Halibut are delicious. Best fish & chips I've had.
Owner/Server could be a little nicer...maybe he had a bad day? Frist time eating here food was delicious! This time, not so much. Soggy batter makes for icky fish and chips.
