The Fish Man

We’ve been to this place twice in the last 6 months and like it very much. This restaurant is known for its seafood and I have to agree they definitely know how to make great seafood dishes. We’ve had conch seashells, which was a seasonal special, geoduck, arctic surf clam and their famous fish dish. Every dish was not only tasty but looked great too. The service was superb as well and our server was very patient in explaining and recommending dishes while also very attentive to our needs without us even asking. Overall I think they have great food and service. I will definitely visit again when I’m in Vancouver.

Great environment and ambiance. And the food were amazing! This is not like the other places: happy tree, etc. The fish man is definitely one level up. The food is definitely way pricier than most places but they are also very fresh. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. I found this place on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. First thing first, the service is very friendly and helpful, just 1 eye contact and someone already came to my table. The server bring me new plate and bowl without being asked for, they notice. The atmosphere is cozy, there's lots of space inside, also they have a patio for summer. The food came quickly and tasty amazing. I love the fish soup with sour cabbage, even though it was a bit too spicy for me, took me a few minutes to pick all the chillies out. The portion is huge, one bowl is $70, we were 3 people and couldn't finish it. I wish there was option to choose spicy level. I definitely will come back.

Absolutely delicious high quality food made with attention to fine detail. Ordered takeout and everything was wrapped carefully in a reusable bag. The fresh coconut juice was literally a fresh young coconut with a slit cut open to enjoy the fresh coconut juice. Plus, you could even scoop out the young coconut meat inside to enjoy for dessert. The rice was perfect and the young pea shoots stir fried in garlic was fresh and delicious. Definitely worth eating again. Impressed by this high quality Chinese food.

Get here early as it is quite popular, but the staff works hard and quick to turn tables. Good quality fish, very flavorful options. Push yourself a bit if you can handle the spice but if not they have non spicy options as well. Spicy seafood, cold beer. Great combination.

Food is delicious and worth for money to spend. Booking in Advanced is important as walk-in will have little chancebut u can try ! While ordering seafood, you shouldn’t rely on the menu. We ordered Sour Cabbage Fish pot with fresh grouper which was not shown in the menu. So it is better check with the waiter and of course the current price . Moreover, we got some starters - Sichuan Chicken, Lamb and beef BBQ and the whole squid. Among the starters, I recommended the squid. The others were a bit standard! The waiter suggested steamed razor calm with Garlic. Its taste was acceptable. Finally, the seafood fried rice was a good choice to end the night. Overall, I rated 4 star because the service was standard and not outperform which it might be due to crowded of customers !! Well, it is good to plan for a revisit in the coming season holiday!

The best Chinese seafood restaurant I’ve ever had. Really fast service and every dish was so good! We particularly enjoyed the sea bass as the meat was so smooth. It was deboned perfectly so we never bit into any bones when eating the fish. The scallops were huge and the lobster with ginger and scallions was cooked to perfection. Definitely coming back if we are ever in town again!

Our first time here and on Mother’s Day. The food was awesome, the place is great and the service is good too. We ordered another 10 pieces of their yummy Beef Skewers but unfortunately it was not entered in their system. Because we had to wait, they waived it and was free. Loved everything especially their Beef Skewers, Scallops and Cucumber salad. We will definitely be back!

The Fish Man is a busy place but with good atmosphere and ambiance. The food is fresh and the portion is reasonable. We were particularly impressed with Yan, our server. She is very welcoming and friendly. She is also very smart and understands our needs. We will definitely visit again!

Very good experience the servers were all extremely polite and hospitable! Food was super quick and very tasty. Better than other comparable restaurants. The line is very long but worth the wait. The class are very big and the price was good for the quality and quantity you get. Authentic
