My friends and I had a great time at Fujiwara! Coming here brought back a sense of nostalgia. We checked in on a Friday night and was able to get seats for a group of 3 even though it was fairly busy. The interior is pretty nice and had the Initial D anime theme going - so if you've seen and enjoyed watching Initial D or if you're a car guy then you'll probably like it here. The desserts were great! We got the sweet tofu dessert, mango shaved ice and the tofu cheesecake. They provided us seperate bowls and spoons so my friends and I could share the desserts! Although I will say, the tofu dessert was a bit pricier compared to other tofu shops I've been to. However, the stand out for me was the tofu cheesecake...I wish I ordered more because it tasted amazing! We also enjoyed the mango shaved ice which is supposed to be good for 2 people but quite honestly it was large enough to probably share with 4-5 people! One cool thing about this place - if you drive a Japanese car you can get a free topping...luckily I DO drive a Japanese car so we were able to get one topping free of charge! I recommend checking this place out if you are in Richmond area and craving sweets and of course if you grew up watching Initial D, then this is the place to be!
Came here with my GT86. Love this place. Just like back home haha. The restaurant is nice and clean. Actually I had been ordered delivery before which the deep fried tofu was flavorful with the chili sauce. Their deserts fit the winter season. Complete with good garnish. Perfect food texture, appearance, and sweetness is acceptable. Will definitely come again!
Nice dessert shop overall, the price is bit high compare to others. Tofu is excellent, the owner was very generous to give complimentary dessert on each order, pudding is so so, rest are very good.
Came here on a Saturday night at around 8:30 pm the restaurant wasn't full but there were quite a lot of ppl. We ordered the matcha shaved ice and the signature silken tofu. They were doing a promotion where the second dessert is 50% off and you also get either an extra 2 toppings or a mini dessert when you order the signature silken tofu. We decided to get a milk mochi. The matcha shaved ice was not bad. There was grass jelly and red bean on the bottom so it wasn't all matcha shaved ice. Wish it had come with a squeeze bottle of condensed milk for a bit of extra texture. The matcha flavour was actually quite strong. The signature silken tofu was also not bad. My favorite topping was definitely the taro balls. They had taro flavour and were nice and chewy. The silken tofu was really soft and fragrant. My favourite dessert of the night had to be the milk mochi. It was nice and chewy not too sweet and super soft. I would get the milk mochi again. Overall I gave it a 3/5 mostly because of the price. Each dessert was almost 20$ each if there was no promotion except the milk mochi. The flavours are not bad and I can see the effort and quality of the dessert but I still can't justify the price. I would recommend getting the milk mochi though. The entire is also really nice and the servers are very friendly and helpful.
Very unique place, some interesting desserts and drinks. Only tried their signature silken tofu dessert. Not too sweet, various toppings, I think the main selling point is the Initial D decor and a neat hangout place.
Totally nostalgic and bringing back the memories and feels - the anime themed tofu shop with looping music of Jay Chou. The tofu dessert was superb, balanced flavors and fresh toppings of pearls, taro balls, red bean, grass jelly, and the tofu pudding. Absolute love for this place <3
Came across this cute little tofu shop. The tofu is quite tasty, portion is a bit small and more on the expensive side compare to other tofu dessert store but I personally think it’s worth trying. The decor is so cute! Felt like I walked into initial D scene. Note that parking is a bit harder to find.. same with all the stores along Alexandra.
Great concept! If you love JDM cars and the initial D anime, this the spot! The desert were yummy! The design was cool
Much better than the one in LA in terms of selection and taste. The only thing LA is more attractive is having that 1983 Toyota Corolla parked in front of the store. The taste in Richmond is better for sure.
Lovely place to get Taiwanese dessert. The coconut tapioca is good. Nice service and staff.
