Beautiful atmosphere, the food was absolutely amazing. Their Buffalo cauliflower should definitely be a staple appetizer on the menu. It was phenomenal. Our meals were huge and wonderful. Hubby had the pork chop special and I had the BBQ duo meal. Both were so good. Staff was wonderful as well. We will definitely return.
Nice place. We wanted to sit in the room with the lights and umbrellas but there was a private party there. It’s a nice atmosphere and is family friendly. The drinks were good, as was the meal. the sadwhich was tasty. Only issue is I think the oil thy use for the fries was old, as the color of my fries were off, as well as the color of my wife’s chips. I felt a little sick later that night. Overall very nice place and good food, only thing is they need to change their oil.
The Downpour always provides high quality meals at affordable prices! Their features are incredible and they usually have a great variety of flavors! You can eat here every week and try a new & delicious dishFood: 5/5
It was my second time at the downpour. The first time was good, but after the second time I was blown away. The Mediterranean bruschetta was the perfect appetizer. The maple bacon miso porkchop was the best pork chop I've had in the area. Also our server Diamond was awesome. She was always there when we needed her and very personable. Would definitely recommend and return!
Table of 6 with sub par food, great staff/service and drinks. Everything was unnecessarily sweetened which I can understand with drinks but not with the food. . French Onion Soup, brussel sprout appetizer and sweet potato fries with a glaze! Why? Were all too sweet. Falafel burger tasteless and dry with no sauce besides ketchup. Why? How about Tzatziki, hummus or a garlic aioli on the side Purrata Salad dressing was tasteless and the beets shouldn't be hard. Staff/service was excellent and the live music was awesome hence 3 and not 2 . the food that we liked was the tuna App and the Pork Duo and shrimp/crab au gratin. Unfortunately, I personally would be hard pressed to come back for anything other than the drinks and atmosphere.
I went for my one year anniversary with my girlfriend, as this is the place we had our first date! The food was fantastic and the staff even more so. There was a mix up in the kitchen with our food so they brought us fries while we waited. Food was fantastic! Romantic atmosphere in the umbrella room.
It was not crowded tonight, so I grabbed a spot at the bar and dove right in to the drink menu... I love the fresh ingredients, popping flavors...then, the food! I eventually settled on the BBQ shrimp and vegetable bruchetta. It was a great combination, I'm pointing myself at the risotto next time more than likely... so glad I stopped by! The bartender who served me was more than happy to offer suggestions and such. Service matters! Can't wait to dine in again :-
It was OK. Crab dip was good but more cheesy than crabby. Cuban pork sandwich lacked moisture in the pulled pork. Excellent service and unique atmosphere. Back room/bar is where you want to sit...beautiful lighting. Features: N/A
Great atmosphere. Family friendly. The food was delicious, however, got a stomachache after. I believe they oil was overdue for a change.
First time coming here and I’ll definitely be back! The crab dip with the pita bread was SO good and the frozen margarita was amazing and a large size so I was really feeling it afterwards haha 5/5 recommend this place. The dining next to the bar is so aesthetically pleasing and the music was good! This is definitely a hidden gem in Wilkes barre.
