Excellent restaurant on Lake Wallenpaupack. We made reservations for 5:30 on a Thursday and got there a bit early but they were happy to seat us early. We sat out on the covered deck area and it was beautiful. Great views of the lake but the warmth was appreciated. Food was great, and our sever was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back :-
Our first time visiting during a couples getaway weekend, could be time of year but was nothing close to what was expected from pictures. It was a cold February Saturday evening could not see lake at all…lots of small children yelling. Not a quaint or quiet date restaurant but more of a kid loud place. Food was average and service friendly
We drove by this place a couple days ago, and it was very crowded, and right on the lake. We decided to try it last night. Made a reservation, got seated when we arrived. The atmosphere was not what I expected. Kids screaming, metal patio furniture to sit on, very old carpet. For the prices, I expected more. The food was lackluster at best. My husband got the special of the day and it tasted like it had been sitting on the stove being kept warm all day. The crab cake appetizer was small for $18.00, and only came with tartar sauce. I asked for cocktail and they brought me a dish of ketchup. The salad was fine, but not great. If we were to go back, I would probably go for lunch and just get some kind of sandwich. I wouldn't try the dinner again. $10 for a whiskey and coke.
We had an early dinner there. It was very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was good.
Went to the Dock on a late afternoon in October. Nice looking restaurant and we had a table with a spectacular view of the Lake. Enjoyed the Lobster Bisque soup and it was perfect for a crisp fall day. Nice and creamy with bits of lobster. For our entrees, my wife had the coconut shrimp and it was very good. Light and crispy with fresh shrimp and a nice taste of the coconut. I had the pan seared salmon and I was a bit disappointed. The salmon was a little under cooked for my taste. Overall, we enjoyed our early dinner. The restaurant was nicely decorated, the staff very friendly with fast service and reasonable prices. I would definitely give this spot a return visit.
Nice spot to stop as it’s right on the water and have a variety of seating options. Wait staff friendly. Food could use a bit of improvement. My fish tacos were soaked through because the red cabbage they put on bottom was really wet- so I had to fork it. Fish could have used a bit more flavor… Crab cake sandwich was decent.
The view here is nice but that's about it. Food really lacked flavor. If the best thing at your seafood restaurant is a Philly cheese steak, that's not a good sign. Service was great and it's a nice place, but likely won't be coming back.
I have been here twice and I can't recommend it enough! The food is so so good! I plan to try something new each time I'm here! The view on the little top deck was so nice. You kind of have to squeeze in time there because it's very small but the view was great!
I made a reservation at this restaurant for this past Saturday, 10/8/22. I was advised immediately upon check in that there was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY we could be seated prior to our reservation time of 6:00 despite multiple open tables. After 15 minutes of waiting until 6:00, I returned to the check in area to request preference of a nearby open table when it was relayed to me that there were no guarantees that we could be seated there and that it would be likely that we would be seated outside despite my selection of indoor seating on my reservation. The staff suggested that I check and see if it was too cold to be seated outside, which it was because of the weather and the staff’s failure to turn on any of the heaters prior to seating customers in the outside dining area. After waiting another 15 minutes, the staff advised that we could only be seated outside and suggested my mom and husband go “check it out” to see if it would work for them. When they returned to relay that it wasn’t to their satisfaction, as my mom has back and neck pain exasperated by the cold, which I notified the staff of, they continued to have us stand there and refused to seat us. My husband asked to speak to the manager to see what could be done and we were advised that there was nothing they could do. My husband asked why those with an indoor seating reservation could not be seated indoors at an open table and the on duty “manager” told us that those open tables were for other customers who had not arrived yet. When my husband asked why couldn’t they be seated outdoors, especially since my mom has a medical condition, the “manager” had nothing to say. At that point, we left. It was by far the worst service I have ever received and if google didn’t make me select 1 star, I would select none. We have been dining at this restaurant for 3 years and I am proud to say, we will never return and I will never recommend this place to anyone. My recommendation is to take your business ANYWHERE but here, a place worthy of your business who values their customers and treats them respectfully.
Came here for the first time on March 31, 2023 on our stay at the Tanglwood resorts. The dock do not deliver but the drive is very close especially if you exit and enter in the back of the 100 numbers condos . Me and my girlfriend ordered bacon cheese burgers with fries , bang bang shrimp with their made sauce on the side. Their burger is big and delicious no questions asked , fries are well seasoned and their made sauce is very good. I actually bit into the big burger , ate some fries and said mhmmm this is damn good. Ps. Order online and use hotel discount.
