Siu mai and duck dumplings were not good. Too big, not delicate. Frozen ones from Chinese supermarket are better. Baos were pretty good. aka steamed fluffy bun, aka gua bao
It's our favorite asian cuisine in Czech republic, we had food from them already 3 times but the first time to dine in. We ordered too much food, but everything was great. We had some dumplings, office menu, pad Thai and soto ayam. What I was missing was any additional seasoning on the table, such as soy sauce or sambal oelek, which is quite typical when it comes to Malaysian cuisine. All the flavors were there though. Tried some lemonades as well and the tamarind one, was definitely the best. Highly recommend going for lunch there. Not to forget the staff is very friendly and prices reasonable
On of my personal TOP 10 Prague's food spots! Do you love asian cuisine? And do you want to try authentic asian cuisine in downtown Prague? Then definitely visit Tamarind Tree and you will become their immediate fan!!! They are located directly on the tram stop Botanicka Zahrada Botanic garden, so you cannot miss it! I would recommend to start with coconut milk pancakes with some great coffee as a breakfast - Next as a snack you can fly high with absolutely best Pork Bun Pork Heaven Bůčkové nebe as they call it in Czech and definitely try any of their fresh made soups, such as Thai chicken soup, Malaysian laksa, Japanese ramen, Chinese won-ton soup...they are changing menu frequently so you can always try something new! I love meeting these guys also on food festivals, markets etc. Like the picture with the Pork Bun on Namesti Republiky markets. I wish Tamarind Tree all the best and I will continue to visit you frequently!!! Pavel

If you are lover of bao-bao and dim-sum, then you must go here. It's just too delicious! You can also learn cooking here.
Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! Every time I come here, I am amazed by how well balanced and delicious the food is! Staff is friendly and helpful. My favourites are DimSums or Chicken soup.

We were dissapointed after visiting their restaurant for the first time. On the food festivals their tent is always a highlight but the experience in the restaurant was bad : the spring rolls and duck rolls were burnt, pad thai was barely eatable. I recommend removing the pad thai completely as it destroys the image of the place: it was way too sweet. I think someone poured too much sweet sauce on it and also lacked any Asian herbs. Only the dim sum rolls and the fermented lemonade were tasty as usual ,but the rest was really bad.
This is TOP and my number one 1 in Prague These guys are running this bistro regarding their real experience from Taiwan. Food is amazing, delicious, incredibly tasty!!!!! You cannot make a mistake by choosing anything from the menu. Everything is just so good like anywhere in this city. Love at the first site :-
Strange to find such good Asian food in Prague! Looks and tastes very authentic. I had a tasty lunch of wonton soup which wasn't as filling as I had hoped but very tasty. Would definitely visit again.
