You want date night ideas? Go see a show at the Dakota Tavern. It’s that easy. I’ve never been disappointed here. Waiting for a beer at the bar might be a hassle, but only because Dakota packs out because the music is so damn good. Unreal venue
Bluegrass Brunch at 10am was a fantastic experience. Young families with kids running around and dancing. Excellent food. Capable competent service. Wonderful bluegrass by Unseen Strangers. Great to see proper sound reinforcement early morning so your breakfast is not washed out by music. Absolute recommend.
Great venue for live music! The atmosphere is amazing, especially love the twinkle lights. Staff was lovely, the lady working the bar was very helpful. My only complaint is that alcohol was incredibly expensive, but Toronto is always more expensive. We will be returning :
The Dakota tavern never disappoints! One of Toronto's top music venues and best place to see "up and coming" or "already made it" musical acts. Super intimate venue which only holds about 130 ppl but you're guaranteed to see some amazing live music here.
Venerable music venue. Good vibe, bit of a dive, appropriate for a basement venue. The Mercenaries were a great rock and roll cover band. They had 2 fabulous female vocalists join for a song or two each.
Great bar located in a fun area of Toronto. The main allure of The Dakota Tavern is the lovely live music acts they have performing every week. Give their website a look before going out and see who is performing! Lots of great talent!

I love love this place! Great live entertainment everytime. But for the love of Music, please get with the times and maybe update your beer and wine menu. I would drink more if they were better options no doubt. But I still love and enjoy this place! A Toronto Gem for sure!!
Cool spot, I always enjoy coming here. Always good music and good craft beer options. I’ve seen Danny Michel preform here 2-3 times!
