My first spa experience was here last year and I'm so excited to go back next week! The whole staff is super friendly and accommodating, and we were even allowed to bring in our own snacks and drinks! The whole salon has a super classy, cozy feel and I loved our little private room where we could relax and eat/drink. I got a massage, a facial and a pedicure and all three services were sublime. I had never gotten a facial before and I couldn't believe how amazing it felt. I'd highly recommend going there if you're thinking about getting a facial for the first time!
Service far beyond my expectations.. I called in to the Crown Jewel last minute to book a massage appointment. They were able to get a 90 min massage book for me the following day with Anita. I was shocked that I was able to get something scheduled so quickly especially since most of the surrounding spas expect you to book several days in advance and rarely make exceptions. I arrived to my appointment and I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She offered to take my coat and asked if I would care for some hot tea, water or if I preferred something else. Shortly after, the owner Julie of the Crown Jewel came into the lobby and we engaged in a pleasant conversation. Its rare that you have the opportunity to meet the owner of a spa and it was nice to be welcomed by not only a pleasant receptionist but the owner herself. Anita joined us in the lobby and took me back for a massage. I have had several massages over the years and I have to say Anita was amazing. She is very professional and a fabulous massage therapist. I enjoyed the full body massage ....and ABSOLUTLY, hands down the best neck massage I have ever had. I was so pleased with my experience that I purchased a gift card for a friend on my way out. Thanks for the great experience! Julie you have a wonderful sap/staff and now another loyal client.
I have been going for massages at Crown Jewels for the last couple of years and always had a wonderful experience. It start from the moment you step into the salon,....love the serene atmosphere. However, I had a Reflexology massage about 1 month ago and it was extremely disappointing. I left feeling extremely disappointed and kind of upset. Let's face it. We go to get a massage for the relaxing and feel good experience. Within 1 business day after the incident, the manager of the Salon called, apologized and offered a free massage performed by Liz. OMG, this reflexology massage was out of this world. Liz did an amazing job. I think that I even dozed off a couple of times during the massage. Liz will be my massage therapist from now on. She is amazing.
I, honestly, do not think that you could find a better Spa and Salon other than that of The Crown Jewel in Grand Rapids! Their service and expertise goes way beyond what you would expect from a traditional hair salon. The facility, itself, gives you a sense of serenity and peace when you enter the salon greeted by soothing sounds of water and a cozy sitting area by the fire. The front desk is always very professional and offers to take your coat and get you a beverage of your choice. I have learned so much about premium hair care from my stylist and how to keep it looking its best by being a loyal customer since 2007! I typically see Melissa for my hair services but will go to ANY one of their stylists, if needed. The Crown Jewel does an amazing job of employing only THE best and continually educates them with new innovations! I have recommended many friends and family, over the years, and they all have had the same great experience as I have and made The Crown Jewel their salon as well! Keep up the great work! :
Amazing service as soon as I walked in the door. Monica was my massage therapist. Loved her. Definitely knew how to make me feel relaxed. She seemed like she enjoyed her job and atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.
Came with a girlfriend while the guys folded down the street. All other spas should aspire to be the Crown Jewel Spa! We had an amazing experience, all the way from booking through check in and the massages themselves. A very high end experience. Wish I lived in the area so I could go back!!
It was my first time at the Crown Jewel and I wanted a new style/cut and color. Jen P. was my stylist, she listened to me first as to what I wanted than gave some great pointers and I walked out of there like I was on cloud nine! Love my new spring look and she was so enjoyable to talk with :O I will be back and made an appointment before I left!
I was gifted a deep facial and deep tissue massage at this beautiful salon! It was my first time here and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting, the tea was delicious, and the massage and facial were exactly what I needed! Can’t wait to go back next month for another
I love the crown jewel! I went in for a manicure done by Aletha and it turned out great! The polish lasted for a lot longer than I've ever had just from regular polishes. I love the atmosphere and the staff were all so nice. I will definitely be coming back!
Actually received a gift certificate for a FREE massage from my employer here and it was incredible. I think this is a hidden gem in Grand Rapids- beautiful building, awesome atmosphere, talented therapists and I left feeling great! Can't wait to go back and try a romantic couples massage ;
