The Chicken

Agreed with other post, great hidden gem! We ordered crispy chicken thighs and legs and order of hot and regular wings. The hot wings had nice heat, was too hot unfortunately but still very tasty. All the fried chicken had a nice crunch. And best of all, not too salty and minimal grease on your fingers, which is a huge plus!!! Definitely will order more from here. Oh we did take out. Take out boxes were great for the invironment. Inside had nice/spacious seating area for indoor too if your were curious.

Looking for options other than usual fast food places. This restaurant is located nearby so I dropped in this afternoon for takeout lunch. No one seated but a few people like myself waiting about for our takeout. Food looked alright. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't usual processed chicken patty; it's like they shaved off a chunk of chicken and battered it. Some will like, some won't. The big knock against them is the burger is supposed to be spicy. It wasn't. I don't normally go for SPICY Indian food - so I wasn't looking for crazy spicy. More like Canadian spicy, which is more like mild Indian or Singaporean. I had to add my own spicy Japanese mayo.

Incredible service! Incredible chicken! Incredible value! What a hidden gem. Stopped in for takeout at The Chicken here on Imperial and was greeted by the warm and super welcoming staff. We got one of the main combos with 6 pieces of chicken, 6 pieces of wings, popcorn chicken and fries with a 2L. Order was made hot and fresh and the fries didn't even make it home, very delicious. The takeout box design is great too, lets out enough hot air so the skin doesn't go soggy either. Pricing was great, excellent value for the portion. Only one thing I'd like for next time is music in the restaurant. Was a little awkwardly quiet. Aside from that, awesome chicken joint!

Loved their chicken! Probably the best chicken place we have ever tried before! Been ordering from them for a few times and never disappointed us! Very juicy and yummy. Sadly they don't have spicy level, we really love spicy and their spicy level is not the highest! But still is good and will keep on ordering from them! And their service is nice too! Totally recommend

If you like fried chicken, that’s the place you must go! The chicken is so tender crispy and juicy at the same time! Better than KFC! Suggest you try their spicy chicken, not that hot but tasty! I am definitely coming back again!

Tried The Chicken restaurant today for the first time. My girlfriend and I were craving fried chicken but wanted to find a place nearby. Luckily this new mom and pop shop opened up recently and without a doubt, it was one of the juiciest pieces of chicken we’ve had. The skin was light, not overly battered yet super crispy with a nice crunch. The meat itself was well flavoured and succulent. Not the mention, some of the thigh pieces were huge! You can tell the sauces are homemade I recommend the spicy Mayo which has a good kick and the honey mustard which is well balanced. Will definitely return again. Thanks again to the friendly staff for the quick and friendly service!

The best-fried chicken I’ve ever had. Fell in love with this chicken place since it just opened last year. Luckily, it is nearby. I love all the chickens with spicy flavours. Recently they do have 15% off for pick uptakeout orders. I definitely recommend u guys order by in-store pick-up. Then the chicken is fresh and juicy enough when you get it. Must Be Try!! Let's say I'm looking forward to dine-in one day after this pandemic over. And I also heard that they r going to open for dine-in soon and alcohols are available in store! What a great thing! I recommended it to all my friends and they love it as much as I do. Popcorn chicken and that huge chicken sandwich are their favs! Ofc, spicy one!!! They just launch two homemade sauces, which are honey mustard and spicy mayo! I would like to ask for the honey mustard recipe from the owner! Kkk 5/5 for the services. Say hello to me right away when I just get into the restaurant. Very friendly and nice. And also double-checked the orders, which makes me feel so responsible! The Chicken Restaurant is a newish Asian fried chicken place who would have guessed with that name, huh? that opened up on Imperial St. in Burnaby. I’ve been eyeing this place for a while and finally managed to try it out in early February. Their Spicy Chicken Sandwich $8.99 is a bit basic in design but well executed. A crispy chicken thigh is paired together with tomato and lettuce inside a thickish bun. The chicken meat is nice and juicy on the inside and it’s seasoned with just the right amount of spice to give it a kick. I revisited in early March to try their 6pc Spicy Chicken $18.49 and Yam Fries with Spicy Mayo $4.99. They actually do a pretty good job with their chicken here. The meat was juicy and the skin was crispy. It kind of reminded me Church’s Chicken but with a thicker coating maybe more similar to Hi-Five. That being said, the chicken did seem slightly more oily. I like that they offer yam fries as they were yummy.

Did a pick up from today. The fries and chicken popcorn got little soggy but everything else had a crunch. Really cute packaging too, wouldn't mind bringing this to a party.
