The cottage rental was the best visit. Clean and cute and bed was really comfortable. The unit has a mini fridge and a coffee machine. The Inn itself has a great restaurant "farm to table". I would recommend to anyone coming to Baddeck.
Upscale and relaxed dining experience in Baddeck. We had a delicious meal here. I had a great steak tenderloin cooked perfectly with local vegetables and scalloped potatoes. My husband had chicken which he said was the most tender and moist that he had had. We followed the meal with sticky toffee cake for me and homemade maple ice cream for him. Yum! We were there for a Sunday dinner and needed reservations.
Amazing meal!! We planned to dine at this restaurant during our weeklong stay however we had to change plans last minute to take out and thankfully, this restaurant was able to provide us with four exceptional meals. Everything was perfect! We had the beef risotto, chicken dish and a few apps and not one dish disappointed. We tried to return our last night but they we're sadly closed. We will recommend and return!
Excellent service, good food: very knowledgable of their menu
The meal and the service were both top notch. A wonderful meal, excellent quality and prepared so well. We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend for a great dinner out.
We order from the waiter. we wait for 45 minutes, still nothing. We decide to call someone to find out where the order was, the server comes back and tells us that he had a computer problem and that he did not register the order. I would like to point out that the server spent 45 minutes chatting with one of the neighboring tables without doing anything. We ended up at the pizzeria opposite, which was ultimately faster and more efficient.
I don’t review a lot but felt compelled to comment on both the service and meal we enjoyed at the Cable Room. The service was excellent - not hurried, not slow, very courteous. The 6-oz tenderloin I had was - outside of my husband’s - probably the best seared steak I’ve ever had. Sides were savoury and flavours were delicate. And the homemade desserts, especially the sticky toffee pudding, were the perfect end to our meal. Don’t expect a wide selection of wines - but you’re not eating here to get toasty. I give this restaurant a 5++!
The Cable Room Restaurant....Just above and beyond! A hidden secret in the lovely town of Baddeck. Their culinary attention to taste and detail to each dish was amazing....and ranked in our own experiences as top shelf. Exquisite! Thank you Thank you!
The best meal we had in Cape Breton by far! We had the lobster risotto, crab cakes, biscuits, and the toffee pudding and "winter in baddeck" for desert. Would recommend copying us! Great, friendly service too.
What a wonderful evening. Our waitress ,Gerrianne was so friendly and Kaitlyn who check us in was super. Gave us lots of ideas for things to do in and around the area. Loved the meal , especially dessert, a sticky toffee pudding! We will be back next season!
