Dined on the patio last Thursday for the first time and had a very pleasant experience. The food and service were excellent and the ambience was very relaxing next to the marina. We had the Sushi Bowl, Halloumi Wrap and the amazing Buttermilk Fried Cauliflower thanks for that suggestion Kristina : Oh, and the pic is after we enjoyed a few already.nnThe only negative aspect I could see, was that the interior dining atmosphere did not seem very pleasant as it felt stuffy. It doesn't impact my review as we only went there for the rest rooms.
A really great restaurant to enjoy tasty food by the waters.nnI thoroughly enjoyed the oysters, black dragon roll and salmon. I liked the mussels but the sauce could have been more rich in flavour. The dockside salad is a pass for me; it wasn’t my cup of tea.nnThe only issue I had with the restaurant was the service. Our server dropped our chopsticks and picked it up and put it back on the plates to give us. The chopsticks were in the packaging but it was placed back on to the small sharing plates. The person who took out our food also touched the bread that came with the mussels with his hands after he placed down the food.nnAlthough minor it was off putting. Other than that we had a pleasant experience and the food was good!
Recommended by the guest house owner. To play it safe, I picked the fish and chips and it's pretty good. Fries are crunchy and the sauce and fish is decent. Tried the Canadian beer and it's a bit strong for me. They assigned individual waiters to serve you. When asking for the bill it will take a bit of time when it is busy. Some how other waitress will not help to inform your waiter if you're not their customer. Food is a bit on the high side but you're paying for the view and location.
The garlic bread was actually just a bread that came with a very strange honey like butter but the bread was tasty by itself 6/10, the fish tacos were nice an fresh served with pineapple chunks 5/10 the collie flour was tasty but a little over cooked before frying so it was mushy on the inside of the batter 5/10, the best thing was the roast beef sandwich this was amazing 8/10 and the lobster roll was 5/10.nnService was great the restaurant was very clean and the view is nice on a clear day, the atmosphere is really good and the ice cream seems to be a popular with everyone passing by.
I usually go here when it's warm to sit in the patio area facing the harbour, just because the whole atmosphere is a lot better outside. Food is great too, I really like the Margherita pizza. Slightly more upscale place, so really great for slightly formal occasions or to just admire the view.
