Came here with a group of friends on a week night. The menu is quite complete but moderately priced for what they have to offer. However considering this is a private sports / athletic club, I guess affordability is not much of an issue. On the other hand, dishes do seem quite nicely displayed and tasty. They do also offer special snack menu plates for $10 after 8 pm. Regular Small plates are $17 + except soup is $11. Fries was $8 Overall, a nice setting for after sports hang out and get a quick bite. Service was good until a large group came in so I would say pretty nice. Great for large group hang out tho. They also have outdoor settings with fires……
Hidden neighbourhood gem! Great location by the water, and serves sneaky good food! We got the gnocchi and the Asian Sando. Wasn’t a huge fan of the gnocchi, but the sando was really good and something different! They have heaters on the patio so you can sit outside even if it’s colder.
What a find for people who want friendly service, a casual atmosphere, and SUPER delicious food that accommodates everyone’s dietary restrictions. Kudos to the lovely waitstaff for making it such a pleasant experience and the new chef for the menu still dreaming about the chocolate dessert. Grateful I won a gift card which inspired the visit I will be back!
Sprouts of the chef’s personality and interests are emerging unto the menu. Caesar salads, steak frites, and fish & chips shares the card with Korean fried chicken and pork belly. It is evident that the soul of the restaurant henceforth lies in the new Korean dishes. The courage is commendable. Possibly the best double fry you will find in town, and where you least expect it! Hoping to see the addition of pickled radishes in the near future.
We went to grab a drink and something to eat , the place is beautiful and very relaxing . However I find it way overpriced for what we got . We got the halloumi with jam first pic and it was so simple, so hard to mess halloumi and this was not it . The other dish was one of the “VEGAN” dishes . This was not vegan at all it had regular mayo , and when we asked the server he went to ask the chef and when he came back his answer was “It should be vegan”. No confirmation whatsoever if the mayo was vegan or not . We discovered it wasn’t vegan when we came back home and the person who ordered the dish was sick all night because it clearly had dairy . Lastly the “pitcher” of sangria , it’s 1L and it was 30$ not worth it all. Nothing special, very simple . I’ll give two stars because of the view , nice garden and they were cute wild bunnies around. Not a place I’ll go back to eat .
Thank you Hannah and your team! We were in town for a hockey tournament and in preparing for our visit I had found The Bridge Public House. Hannah was responsive, attentive, and flexible when it came to planning the multiple dinner seatings. While in town we also decided to do brunch earlier in the day, again her response was quick and welcoming. The brunch was good and the service quick. As we had decided to do a pre-order for dinner to accomodate our large group, she had name plates ready with guests orders, including dietary restrictions, dinner was ready to go for when we arrived. Once again the service was excellent and the food great. They also had an employee take our kids to a back room and keep them engaged for 30 minutes giving the parents a break. Hannah and team, everyone is so thankful for a great experience.
Went for breakfast today. Setting is great & very relaxing. Service with Chelsea was excellent, however the breakfast was terrible! Besides the price having gone up by 40%, coffee not included, we no longer have choice of sausage, bacon or ham, horrible greasy succotash rather than the couple pieces of fresh fruit we used to get. The whole breakfast looked & tasted like it had been prepared a day or so ago & simply warmed up & full of grease. Bring back the breakfast you served pre-Covid & your former cook/chef.
This restaurant, bar and patio are part of the Rideau Sports Centre RSC. The whole facility was formerly known as the Rideau Tennis Club a private club. The facility has undergone a major renovation and is now operating under the name of RSC. We stopped here to visit and explore the facility as well as enjoy a beer on the patio. There was only one beer on tap but more will be added shortly. There was a good selection of bottled beers. We enjoyed a Kitchissippi IPA at $7 each. The patio is large and overlooks the outdoor tennis courts. There are a number of other outdoor courts and also covered facilities. Although we didn't order food we saw some very attractive plates being delivered This will likely become or "hangout" as it is very close to our new home.
This is a lovely, laid-back spot with a porch patio that overlooks the tennis courts and the Rideau River pathway. Just a chill place to grab a drink if you were wandering Strathcona Park, cycling the river pathways or just live in Overbrook or Sandy Hill. The drink list has a decent amount of local options, and the food is rooted in pub fare but with a few pretty interesting, creative choices — the nachos, for example, are served on wonton chips with green goddess sauce. I appreciate the deviations from the norm!
Nice atmosphere, friendly service. Fish and chips were ok. Burger was good, a bit on the small side but with fries, I was full.Food: 4/5
