Wow they have a lot of selection on the floor. I was looking for a couch but unfortunately they didn't have the size/design I needed. They have a lot of unique colours and options available which is nice to see for a change. I found the prices a bit high for the quality. Also the entrance has a bad smell, it may need a good steam cleaning or something?
I am a college student and was looking for an inexpensive, but nice quality mattress. John was incredibly helpful in helping me find one. He was very easy to talk to took time in helping me find a mattress + mattress pad, ensuring I got the best price + value for my money. He even gave me his number and told me to reach out if I ever needed help with getting any other furniture. Bonnie was also very kind and helpful in organizing the shipment of the items purchased to my house. Overall, all the staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
We have dealt with Rola and we got great service. We went in to get pricing. She took our name and number and did research to find us good deals. She went out of her way and found us a great deal on mattresses and electric bed. She was fantastic, friendly and very patient. Thank you
I just visited the Brick in the East end of Ottawa and met with Jon who is a top notch salesman. So polite and respectful. He was very good at explaining all the details of our purchase of a new washer/dryer. We then were directed to a lovely lady named Sushma who was so professional and completed our paperwork. What a Team:
We just purchased a fridge and a microwave and we were thrilled with the service. Jon gave us great advice and helped us find the exactly right items for our spaces and was clearly knowledgeable about all the products in the store. Once we made our decisions, he and Ibrahim worked together with us to make sure we got what we need, sent where we need it, when we need it. Overall, a great experience.
I bought a brand new metal bed frame at full price and it has clearly been used. As seen in the pictures, parts were placed in Ziploc bags that are torn, the instructions are ripped, scratches in the metal, the paint is stripped and all the feet have scuff marks and scratches from prolonged use. This is horrible business etiquette.
We bought a mattress set mattress, box spring, mattress protector and 2 pillows. When we went to pick it up, they gave us the wrong box spring despite us telling them we didn’t think it was the right one. We received a call about 30 minutes later telling us that they did in fact give us the wrong box spring. We went back and got the correct one. They credited us 15$. Fast forward, we bring everything home, and we are unable to fit the box spring up our stairs. I call the brick to see if we can return it. They said that we can’t return it even though it is still in the plastic because it is their policy they never mentioned a zero return policy to us. They said we can use our sleep satisfaction to trade in the box spring for a split one which would cost us an additional $100 doing this would also mean that would not get our one time mattress re-selection that comes with buying a bed there if we need it They finally told me I could bring it back for store credit but that they would deduct the 15$ credit already given to us. This is absolutely ridiculous as the $15 credit previously given was for the gas that we spent leaving and coming back to the store for their mistake. The other issue with this was that they would only give store credit. I do not want to purchase anything else from them after this and right after moving could use the money for something else more important than a $50 throw pillow or cheaply made coffee table. They could have taken back my box spring and given us our 60$ back and had a happy customer. Instead they were extremely unhelpful and only interested in making more money from us and lost a customer. If I could return the whole set and purchase elsewhere with better customer service I would!
I received excellent customer service with the brick. I felt not pressured in any way. Friendly and answered all of my concerns. As buying a mattress is a big investment. Highly recommend The Brick to consumers.
If I could put 0 I really would. What an absolute disaster my experience was. I bought this new mattress and once it arrived it was way too hard and way too large thick; I couldn't fit any of my sheets on it. Therefore, I went back to just switch the mattress and the salesman says nope sorry you have to wait 21 days to exchange. I don't want the mattress it's too hard and it's not going to shrink in 21 days to fit my sheets. He consisted with saying something along the lines of its scientifically proven your body needs to get used to the bed, but I don't want it; it doesn't work! Anyways, I just said I'll do a return and the salesman laughed basically in my face and said "ya you can't return it, you opened the seal therefore no return". I was never told these conditions when buying the mattress, he just kept saying your satisfaction is our guarantee, well that was a lie. I then proceeded to ask to talk to the manager and the salesman said I couldn't, so I just walked into the office myself. The manager was absolutely no help and basically said not my problem, no returns and wait the 21 days. Wait it gets worse. I said after the 21 days I will no longer receive the "Black Friday" deal and he said yes that's correct, but if you put 10% down you get that price guaranteed. Which is perfect for me, aside from having a mattress I don't want for 21 days. NOPE, he then proceeds to say I won't get refunded the 10% after the 21 days and will still need to pay the black friday price. so where's the deal?!?! I'm paying an additional 10% and just want to do a straight exchange!!!!! was an absolute nightmare and will never buy from this store or line ever again.
Jon C is an amazing salesman! I felt comfortable with discussing our furniture needs and he was able to go above and beyond ensuring we found the right couch and groove chair for our family. I will happily come back to the Brick just to see Jon as he seems to have fun while being professional.
