The Black Canary Espresso Bar

I've been once before, and going back after so long was such a nice refresh. Not only are the staff incredibly nice and helpful, they are fast at what they do and just so out going! Love their humour and style. The coffee is fantastic and the vibe of the place is also so cozy and just awesome. Some chill tunes are playing while you work and it's just a phenomenal place to check out. Cannot wait to have another work session there. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

A really cute cafe that's been serving the Corktown/Downtown area since 2010. They serve the coffee scene but also expanded into art, gifts and plant boutique as well. Great vibes! During our visit, we ordered their Cold Brew and Horjicha Latte that was part of their featured menu. The latte was very delicious and the staff member was very informative when explaining lactose-free alternatives like soy milk. In their unit, they have their Black Canary blend of coffee, a curated selection of plants for sale and odds and ends that you can buy here like placemats kitchen/dining stuff. The staff were very friendly. They take credit cards and had a very seamless transaction. The menu is handwritten on the board with the featured drinks menu on the left side. Also, they're on Ritual if you want to order ahead. There are seats inside and outside. Their bathroom requires the keys and specific access to the side door.

I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the drinks. The mocha was pretty bland, couldn't taste the espresso and the chocolate which I think was just a generic brand syrup. The nutellacino also didn't really taste like Nutella. The espresso tasted a little burnt and extremely bitter. The only redeeming quality was the milk texture which was super silky. 2 stars for the ambiance and the many plants in the store.

The perfect iced honey oat latte. Quiet spot to hang outside in the early morning hours. They have stamp cards for those who frequent the coffee shop. It just makes you appreciate local businesses more than the big corporate spots.

The Nutella latte is absolutely a signature drink here to try! The vibe in the store is so nice that is chill and cozy. The baristas are nice.

5 stars for coffee and scone. 3 stars for service and policy. My dark roast drip coffee and cheddar scone was excellent. But it was disappointing that I couldn’t have my scone warmed up except by microwave. I was also advised against sitting at a table since I had ordered on Ritual. Normally I would agree if it were a restaurant where I was being waited on. But what is the difference if I order at the counter versus ahead of time on an app? Tables were available and it was late morning on a slow Thursday. Seemed like an unnecessary policy to enforce.

Super cute coffee shop with great coffee! I tried cappuccino and loved it perfect temperature, smooth and has an intense coffee flavor and taste. The staff is very welcoming and friendly!Food: 5/5

Quick stop in the morning for a latte and almond croissant. Nice seating spots with lots of natural light by the windows. I like all the plants in there too.

A big, fat meh. Small space, low cielings. Cramped. Tries to make up for it by having a bunch of plants for sale. Doesn't work. Wi-fi is shoddy. Most tables are tiny. Drip coffee machine wasn't working. Not for me. Vibe - 3/5 Seating - 3/5 ↔ Space - 3/5 Wifi - 3/5 Coffee - 3/5 Bathrooms - 3/5

Great little spot in Toronto. Tasty food try the blueberry muffin and amazing cold brew. I will be coming back here again when I’m in town. Friendly workers as well . They were very helpful when we were trying to figure out what drink would be best for us . There is a patio outside for people to sit, and the store is also pet friendly
