The Bistro

Upscale restaurant for the St. Thomas area. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. The wine list is a bit weak but it reflects the small town and hopefully this will improve over time. Went here for a birthday party and they provided a free cake with the meal. Also have cheap beer offered until 6 pm.

Love it here! The food, the staff and the over all atmosphere here are all wonderful. If nothing else, you have to try the Sunflower bread, you'll love it so much you will take a loaf home

I had dinner at The Bistro, 625 Talbot Street in St. Thomas last night, September 21, 2017. This had to be the worst dining experience of my life. I attended with a group of 13 ladies. We arrived on time for our 5:30 p.m. reservation. We all ordered our meals. 2 hours later, we finally received our meals. Our entire group was very dissatisfied with the service. Two orders were returned. One because the steak ordered (medium rare) was completely overcooked. And, the cut of steak on the menu was not available and was therefore substituted. The other order was returned because it was the wrong food ordered. Instead of a seafood melt, she received a tuna melt. We complained to the server and requested to talk to the owner. He arrived to speak with us and did nothing but make unprofessional excuses. He made no attempt to right the wrong in any way. The discussions became very heated and he then invited us to leave. Two ladies literally took the invitation and got up and left the building without paying for what was consumed. I did what I did because I was making a STATEMENT. A message to the owner. Never talk so disrespectfully to your customers. Your job was to make every attempt to defuse the situation. You did the opposite. Needless to say, you have lost customers forever.

Terrific atmosphere! The food was delicious and prompt. The staff were wonderful. Great choice for a special date night!

Just left the Bistro and I have to say we had a wonderful experience there. Great service and top notch food. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Had the lobster and shrimp melt and my husband had the shepherds pie which was steaming hot!!! Thanks for the wonderful evening. Plan to bring the whole family next time.
