Story

Hi my name is Julie and i am the Innkeeper and event planner at The Bird and Bottle Inn. This Inn is 250 years old and brings us back to the old times. Times where life was simple and your occasions were stress free. Between the Inn and the landscape, you will surely feel relaxed and in paradise. I manage the bed and breakfast and your rooms with the antique furnishings, the Egyptian cotton bedding, all natural bath products we use, and our breakfast of Belgium Waffles and fresh strawberries, make this Inn a very unique stay. I also plan events and weddings under our 3200 square foot tent. I cant wait to give you a showing here at The Bird and Bottle Inn! 1-845-424-2333

What a wonderful getaway weekend! The hospitality and service felt more like thoughtful attention and friendship! The appetizers and dinner were delicious by the fire in the tavern, and a simply amazing breakfast prepared by Mercy. Bring your appetite. Nancy prepared a candelight fire for us, and hot teas, drinks, and treats to our suite. We had come up from the city, as several generations of my family once lived nearby, but the Bird and Bottle Inn is like coming home for all. Very chilly out, Mercy gave us a ride into Coldspring Saturday, and to the train Sunday! Wonderful. We hope to visit again soon.

I had New Year's EVE dinner there. The food was great, generous, and the service was prompt and attentive. I love the place, the ambiance, and history of the place. It's one of the oldest inns and pubs in the United States!

Exceptional. We recently went there for a brunch with a group of 7 of us plus a baby. Every aspect exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding and inventive and the service was far superior to any restaurant I've been to. My husband had ordered and plate of bacon and our waiter overheard me saying I didn't like crispy bacon and only like soft bacon and a plate of soft bacon magically showed up at our table minutes later, solely bc the waiter heard me speaking about it. They brought out a bowl of the freshest cut fruit I've ever had for our baby at the table. The staff let us sit and have a leisurely brunch for two hours without any rushing. We took almost 45 minutes to order and they were patient, but the long time we were there was because it was our choosing. Their staff will move at your pace. I felt like they were attentive to all of our needs, including the baby's. I was really blown away by their service. The food was amazing! The bread basket that they put out included croissants, corn muffins and other breads and was exceptional. Their croissants were flaky and warm. I could have just eaten them for brunch. Their different offerings of egg benedicts were creative and delicious and their French toasts were the same. Of course, there are other options as well and my friend's steak and eggs were fantastic. We checked the dinner menu before we left and are so excited to go back and try out their dinner menu!

Under new management from Sept. 2016. All previous reviews essentially refer to a different B&B. "Pamela" is no longer involved. Had an absolutely wonderful time here and the new management (Pat and his brother) were getting ready to open the restaurant again on Nov. 1, 2016. I highly recommend the B&B and the service was perfect.

Great place for a weekend getaway, for a birthday or wedding party or any other event. Unique building from 1761, and you can see the bar top is still the original one. Limited rooms (4) in the main building and a cottage (1 room), very nicely decorated and with all the necessary facilities. Healthy home made breakfast, and great views in the garden or on the porch.
