Hilton Garden Inn Danbury

I actually didn’t stay here but I’m still giving this place a 5 star review. My wife, 18 month old and I were on our way back to South Jersey from Boston the Sunday after Thanksgiving (today). Traffic was awful and my son consumed too much milk. While on the road, he threw up more than I thought was humanly possible. All over himself and all over the car seat. The closest place to stop that wasn’t along the busy highway was this hotel. We stopped in completely frazzled and they didn’t even hesitate to help us. My wife took my son in the bathroom and got him changed and cleaned up while the manager, Brianna, made me a key to use the laundry room so I could take apart the car seat and wash it. She also called Tony, who was part of the maintenance crew, and he helped me out by getting a hose attached on the side of the hotel and he brought me a soap bucket and some rags so I could clean the car seat as best I could. I’m not sure another hotel would’ve gone above and beyond like these guys did. Thank you so much. We’re not getting home till later tonight but at least my son will be clean and riding home in a dry, non-sour milk smelling car seat. Life saver.

The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job every night. The hotel was super quiet even though it was right near the highway. In the morning they offer complimentary hot tea, coffee and water and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My luggage cart got caught midway on the elevator and off the elevator and out of nowhere was a hotel employee that solved the problem much mpre quickly than i could have. Great experience!!

Would not recommend the Hilton Garden Inn but would recommend the Hampton Inn in Danbury, CT. The staff at this Hilton Garden Inn were not friendly at all. I used points to get the room and tgey told me that my room didn't include breakfast and I would have to pay $11.95 for made to order breakfast. The room was small the bathroom was small and it costs more than the Hampton Inn. We stayed in the Hampton Inn in Danbury 4 nights before and the experience was great. The staff was wonderful at Hampton Inn and it included a breakfast. The staff could not have been more accommodating at the Hampton Inn VS the Hilton Garden Inn were I got a coupon to get 1 free bottle of water. They had no problem giving me water at Hampton.

We spend half our time on the road in hotels and we’re Hilton Diamond members. Usually love the HGI brand. We’ve stayed at this property before and enjoyed it, but that was a few years ago. Now there is a new General Manager and the place has gone downhill. Unfortunately the property is outdated and in need of renovations. We moved rooms FOUR TIMES last night and EVERY room had LOUD HEATING UNITS. Impossible to sleep! Rude staff, couldn’t care a less about problems. Also did not welcome us as a Diamond members, as required by Hilton. Manager was extremely unprofessional and had terrible attitude. He refused to admit the problem with heater noise - even though I have audio recordings that even surprised front desk staff. Staff admitted they have problems and said new manager is new and unfamiliar with property. Would never stay here again and advise to stay clear if you need to sleep!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, great location right off of I84 in Danbury, CT.
